Atrophy of Love: Mr. Harris, Stop Fooling Around! novel Chapter 359

“I have something to say, but I don’t know if I should say it,” Charles said.

“Mr. Harris, you don’t really trust me, do you?”

“You can say that.”

Mr. Hughes kept quiet for a while before replying in a sincere tone, “Mr. Harris, I can understand why you don’t trust someone like me.

“Why don’t I first convince Leah to buy the 25 percent shares and have her sell it to someone else at a higher rate? After that, you can pay me what we have negotiated earlier.”

“Mr. Hughes, you’re truly meant to do great things,” Charles replied.

“Mr. Harris, you’re too kind. However, I might need some time because I doubt it’ll be easy to find someone to take the shares,” Mr. Hughes said.

Charles cast one last glance at the hospital and put on his Bluetooth earphones before throwing his phone aside.

He started his car and drove into traffic. “You don’t need to worry about this, someone will take them when the time comes.”

After Sterling mentioned going to see Master Russell, Charles gave Fredrickson a call and told him about this plan.

One of them was scheming against Leah whereas the other was expressing his thanks toward Sterling. Since both of them had their own motives and the deal was beneficial for both parties, the two easily came to an agreement that worked for both of them.

The two continued discussing further details regarding the plan. Once they were almost done, Mr. Hughes said, “Mr. Harris, is it possible to spare Leah’s life and give her a way out of this? She didn’t actually harm Ms. White’s life, after all.”

“I have never cut anyone off, but she’s the one who walked herself into this dead end. There’s nothing I can do about it.” There was no hint of warmth in Charles’ eyes when he said that.

One was setting up this trap for Leah, and the other thought of this as a token of appreciation and gratefulness to Sterling. Since both of them had their own motives and the deal was beneficial for both parties, they easily came to an agreement that worked for both of them.

“Yes, Mr. Harris, I understand what you mean,” Mr. Hughes said.

In the hospital ward.

Sophia sat quietly for a while. All her thoughts were jumbled up in her head, and the more she pondered, the more troubled she felt.

Feeling that her head was beginning to hurt, she simply got out of bed and decided to go and see Dr. Hemingway.

Sophia did not argue and nodded in agreement.

The two of them then set off to Dr. Hemingway’s office, but unfortunately, he was not in. There was, however, a nurse and that female student from the dance department who admired him very much.

“Hello, this is my third time seeing you now, is that right?” Ms. Florence greeted Sophia awkwardly.

Sophia nodded. “Yeap, what a coincidence.”

She had things on her mind now, and besides, she usually did not enjoy small talk with strangers. As such, she did not say anything more.

Ms. Florence, on the other hand, seemed to be quite intrigued by her, but seeing the lack of interest on her face, Ms. Florence did not try to start another conversation.

“Dr. Hemingway seems nice,” Nicole said suddenly, “And he’s quite outstanding in various aspects as well.”

Ms. Florence smiled and took over the conversation. “Yes, that’s why many people are willing to make an appointment with Dr. Hemingway even if it’s just to see him.”

As soon as the words came out of her mouth, Victor came into the room.
