Atrophy of Love: Mr. Harris, Stop Fooling Around! novel Chapter 195

Sophia's eyebrows twitched. Before she could say anything, Clara held her face and said, "Sophia, I have never seen a seventy-year-old man sleeping with a twenty-year-old girl. Let me go with you!"

Sophia, "..."

"What’s there to see? What's so good about a dirty old man? Haven’t you seen enough of mine?" Zachary raised his eyebrows and lifted Clara away from Sophia.

Clara's face flushed immediately.

Sophia, "..."

She coughed slightly and said, "Neither of those. It won’t be convenient for me to take you there, hence I won't be going with you anymore."

Clara was still trying to make a racket but Zachary cut her off. "Keep pestering Ms. White if you aren’t afraid that you won’t be able to get out of bed tomorrow."

"You...!" Clara swelled up like a balloon, but after seeing his gaze, she withered fearfully. "Zachary, you, you, you, you, you, you, why are you behaving like a hoodlum..."

Her voice became softer and softer.

Beep—

Zachary's phone vibrated, he glanced at the message, then put it away. "There’s a movie that has just been released a few days ago. The reviews are pretty good too. Should we go and watch it together?"

Sophia wanted to refuse at first, but she eventually agreed as she could not handle Clara's constant pestering and rolling on the ground screaming.

When they arrived at the cinema, she realized that Charles was there too. He clad in a suit and leather shoes sitting on a burgundy couch in front of the ticketing counter flipping through a document, looking relatively out of place compared to those around him.

"Why do you still want to come when you’re so busy?" Zachary walked over and patted Charles on the shoulder.

Charles put the document in his briefcase and glanced over his shoulder at Sophia with a cold look on his face, saying, "Let's go."

"Hey, hold up!" Zachary grabbed Charles from behind by the collar. "Aren’t you going to buy me something, handsome? Are you going to go in just like that?"

Charles brushed his hand away. "Will it kill you to stop sounding so horny for a day?"

"It won’t kill me, but I'll feel uncomfortable all over." Zachary winked at Charles.

Charles, "..."

"Sorry Clara, I don’t feel so well," Sophia said to Clara with a frown. Before Clara could answer, she turned around and left.

She could not bring herself to sit with Charles and watch a movie with him like nothing had happened.

Every time she saw him, she was reminded of the brutal look on his face when he broke her leg with a cold look on his face. He had never once let her go—not even in her dreams!

"Hey, Sophia—" Clara called out to her with a scrunched up face, but the person ahead did not even look back.

Zachary gloated at the sight of this. "I was right, wasn’t I, Charles? I told you to go easy on her but you refused to listen!"

"Recently, Cloud Dream Law Firm offered me a partnership. I will give serious consideration to it," Charles said.

The smile hanging on Zachary's mouth vanished without a trace. "That’s not what brothers do!!!"

Charles ignored him and chased after Sophia with his briefcase.

"Zachary!!!" After looking listless for a minute, Clara leaped up and placed her hand on her hips, asking, "Did you scare Sophia away because you sounded too much like a hoodlum today?"

Zachary, "..."

He was truly worried about their children's IQ in the future.

When Charles arrived at the elevator, Sophia had already entered the elevator. The doors were closing, leaving only a gap the size of an adult's finger.

She was planning to leave as soon as she said that.

Charles moved in just a few steps and barred her way. "I don't have time. You should watch the movie with Leah, Ms. Sommer."

"I’m not dying to watch this movie, really. You can go ahead if you want to, Audrey." Leah's voice was extremely soft. Her voice and tone were soothing to hear.

Audrey said, "Thanks for understanding, Leah. I will watch the movie with you another day."

She was speaking much faster than usual, her countenance was grim. She tried to step out while she spoke but Charles barred her way once again.

"What is the meaning of this, Mr. Harris?" Audrey looked up. Her tone sounded particularly harsh.

Charles put on a mild countenance. "Why are you in such a hurry to chase after Sophia, Ms. Sommer? What do you want to say to her?"

"This is between us women. It won’t be appropriate to tell you, Mr. Harris." Audrey looked livid. "Please step aside, Mr. Harris."

Charles did not budge. He pursed his lips. "You want to talk to Sophia about Mr. Jones?"

"So what if I am?" Seeing that Sophia had gotten into a cab and left, Audrey gnashed her teeth. "When did you start getting so nosy, Mr. Harris?!"

Charles lowered his head to look at her. “I’m minding my girlfriend’s business and you think I’m being nosy, Ms. Sommer?"

"Girlfriend?!" Audrey asked, her expression changed as she looked at Leah subconsciously.

Leah's smile froze on her face, tightening her hand that was holding onto the wheelchair’s armrest. Blood completely drained from her face.

"Ms. Sommer, you can save yourself the trouble if you want to talk to Sophia about Mr. Jones." Charles said, "It is plain wishful thinking on Mr. Jones’ part. Sophia doesn't like him and even hates him a little."

"If you can’t secure your fiancé's heart, then that just means that you’re incapable. This has nothing to do with my girlfriend. If you must blame her, then blame her for being too attractive. It’s not her fault for having too many suitors."
