Alpha's Second Chance novel Chapter 325

MADELEINE

The plan was bulletproof, and Noah kept his promise and never shut me out of his mind.

But I felt it. The force of dark evil magic it surrounded him, and he slowly disappeared from my mind. NO.

I couldn’t let it happen, and I couldn’t lose him, not now, not ever. He had saved me so many times, and I was not going to let him down now.

I got on my legs and rushed towards the door, but Olivia stopped me.

“You can’t, you can get hurt.”

“So can he! I am not letting them kill him or use him for their evil plans,” I yell, a bit hysterical going out of my mind.

“I have to go out there, and I know I have to,” I whisper, holding back my tears.

Olivia looks at me and then Greta, who I see slowly nodding her head before Olivia looks at me again.

“Please,” I beg her. And she loses her grip on me. She put her thumb on the fingerprint scanner, and the door opened.

“Save him.” She whispers, and I run out.

I run through the tunnels, hanging on to the little bit of Noah I can still feel. I burst out of the castle door and ran through the halls to the castle doors. What I see shocks me. A power of black wind, or dust is surrounds Noah. He is no longer in his lycan form, and I can see the veins running up his arms.

Lily tried to find Lucian, and we felt him fighting against the darkness in their mind, trying to get control. I know if they had not accepted me, they wouldn’t be like this now. And there would be no war; they don’t know what we know, but we do.

‘Let it go, all of it. Safe them.’ I hear Lily in my mind.

I don’t question her but start calling upon the strength of any nature around me. I have never done this before, taken the strength from the nature. I only ever used my strength to heal and nurture the nature. And now I needed it to help me.

The witch and the man were so focused on Noah. They didn’t see me. And I used that advance to call as much power I could to myself, and the nature willing flowed into me. It felt so pure and stronger than anything I’ve ever felt.

And then it exploded. The deep green light that had started surrounding me exploded out from me.

The surge of power leaving me was so strong the witch and the rouge were thrown several meters away. They were shocked, and the witch began shooting her power at me, but a green shield around me blocked it. The darkness surrounding Noah was still there, and I ran to him.

The second I got there, I touched him, and the darkness exploded around me. Trying to break through our shield.

“Madeleine,” Noah said, gasping for air and strength.

‘I love you.’ She says.

‘I love you forever.’ Logan says. And I don’t understand what is going on.

But suddenly, Olivia is inside my shield on the ground next to Noah. A bright white shining light mixes with my green one. And I hear her whisper.

“Live, my son. This lifetime is yours. Live. And come back.” She says so low I barely hear it.

I have no idea what is happening, but the light gets so bright it blinds us. When it disappears, I feel a strong, big hand taking mine, and Noah connects with my mind.

“Do it.”

I let go. And the power from me explodes and hits the rouge and witch so hard they fall to the ground. The dark power disappears completely and mine slowly pulls back.

Noah and Enzo are over them right away, and I try to move my feet but fall after a few steps. I see Noah lifting up the rouge, shifting into Lucian, who, without wasting time, rips the heart from the rouge.

Then Noah is back and by my side, lifting me, kissing me, and I begin to cry. We turn around, and that is when I see them. Logan is on the ground, holding Olivia's lifeless body in his arms.

She used her gift, the one part of it she never had, because they knew it would kill her, and she used it to save her son. Logan howls in pain at the loss of his mate, and every wolf howls with him.
