Alpha's Second Chance novel Chapter 301

ENZO

The car was ready, and I was waiting here after the scrolls and books had been packed. Alpha Carter and Noah came out of the house and walked over here.

“Thank you for your help, my King.” Alpha Carter said.

“Thank you as well, Alpha. Try to find out who the leader is from the rouge.” Noah says.

“Will do.” Alpha Carter promises.

“Another question. If it is okay?” Noah asks Alpha Carter, who just smiles.

“You can ask me anything,”

“What will happen to the orphan pup, the little girl, Alina?” Noah ask.

“To be completely honest, I don’t know. When her parents died, I hoped that one of the families or relatives of her parents would take and raise her. But as you see.” Alpha Carter says, not finishing.

“How did they die?” Noah ask.

“Her dad betrayed us, and he tried to kill me in my sleep. My wolf noticed and forced a shift, and killed him. The mother, his mate, killed herself. I try to take good care of the girl, and I made an order that no one is to mistreat her. Put the pack don’t like her and even they don’t say it. They don’t like her and look down on her.” Carter says. And Noah nods his head.

“I can talk to my dad and mom, and we have other orphans. Maybe it will be best if she grows up away from a pack where they don’t like her. I do not doubt that you are a good man, Carter. But I also know we can’t change how others see her.” Noah says, and he is right.

“Talk to them. If they agree, I will personally follow her there. Thank you.” Carter says and bows.

“We will contact you. But now we need to leave. Thank you for everything, Alpha.”

“It is my pleasure to serve and help, Your Highness,” Carter says and bows.

We sit in the car. I am driving, and Noah sits in the passenger seat. And I start it and drive out of The Dark Forest Pack.

NOAH

We have been driving for hours, and I know we are about one hour from home.

I can feel Enzo want to ask me something, but he does some small talk instead. I know he is curious about the orphan girl, but at the same time, I am not sure how to explain it. But there was something about her that made me feel I needed to help her. Not in a mate kind of thing, but I felt she is somehow going to be a part of our lives.

‘We are one hour from home. Vampires are closing in. There are many.’ I tell him.

‘Dammit. Keep driving. We are coming.’ Dad says, and the link closes.

“Keep driving. Speed up if you have to. Forces from home will come our way.” I tell Enzo, and he presses on the pedal, speeding up.

Out of nowhere, a large group of vampires stand on the road ahead of us, and Enzo has to press the brakes hard. When we hold still, I look out first in front of us and then behind us. They are locking us in hundreds of vampires.

We get out of the car, and I am ready to shift in any second. But then some of them move, letting someone walk through them. An old-looking vampire comes forward, and when he sees us, he raises both hands like he is in surrender.

“We come in peace. Please ask the warriors coming this way not to attack.” He says and bows his head.

‘Dad, don’t attack, but be ready.’ I say, not waiting for the answer.

“Who are you?” I ask.

“My name is Vladimir, and I am the Vampire king. Here in America.”
