Alpha's Second Chance novel Chapter 212

ROSE

When I opened the hotel door, I saw that Enzo was still sleeping, so I put the pizza and cola on the table and sat down in bed.

“Enzo?” I whisper. First, he doesn’t react.

“Enzo.” I try again, this time touching his face.

Then, in one swift move, I am pulled onto the bed, and Enzo sits on it, holding me down. He realizes that it is me, and he lets go right away.

“Rose, I’m so sorry.” He says, but I smile at him.

“I am fine, not a scratch, so no need to apologize.

“I’m not used to being woken up by anyone, not yet anyway.” He says softly. He bends down to kiss me.

“It's okay. I went out and found some food. I hope you like pizza,” I say, and he smiles.

“Pizza is perfect. Thank you,” he says while helping me out of bed. We sit by the table and start eating.

“Before I fell asleep I would a driver service that will bring us to Terni. We will have to be in the back of a truck. But we get there.” He tells me.

“That’s good. I don’t care where I sit,” I say, and he smiles.

“They will be transporting fish to a restaurant in Terni, but it’s the best I could do,” he says, apologizing.

“Enzo, it is all good. This is one thing you need to learn about me and our family. We might be royals, but we are very relaxed, I mean my family doesn’t even live in the castle. My dad built a house for us. I do live in the castle now when I got older. I wanted to live alone, so Dad hired workers and built an apartment for me there. But he also plans to do the same for my brother, his just bigger, as he is the future King. And need a place for his family in the future. My sisters probably meet their mates and live with them, and if you wish, we will find a house too. I live in the castle because Dad didn’t want me unprotected.” I tell him. And he smiles.

“I would live anywhere that you want to.” He tells me, and I smile.

“When do we leave?” I ask him.

“7 AM. But it only takes about 2, maybe 3 hours to get there, depending on traffic. So we will have plenty of time to find you a place to stay while I search the towns,” he says, and I nod my head.

“Terni was in Alpha Alexander’s territory, right?” I ask.

“Yes, but you should be safe. Alpha Alexander is loved and respected just like Alpha Leonardo,” he says, and I smile.

“Yes, everyone told me that. So it’s perfect. I need to remember to notify him I’m there. I promised I would.” I say, and Enzo nods his head.

“Of course. I understand that. When we get the Terni, we will find his watcher or right hand, so they can tell him,” Enzo promises.

He looks at me, and I can see in his eyes that it is just as hard for him as it is for me. But he turns with his back to me and gets dressed.

After getting his clothes on again, he takes my hand, and we walk in silence all the way back to where we are staying for the night. But as soon as we are inside our room, he closes the door, gently pushes me up against it, and kisses me.

There is so much hunger in that kiss it is hard to not get lost in it. I moan into his mouth, and he stops, pressing his forehead to mine.

“Maybe one room was a bad idea.” He whispers.

“Maybe,” I whisper back, and he kisses me again, lifting me up and pushing me harder against the door.

“Tell me, stop.” He whispers again.

“Why?” I whisper back with a moan as his fingers find the bare skin of my stomach.

“If you don’t tell me to, I won’t stop.” He whispers, and he looks like it pains him to say.

“What if I don’t want you to stop,” I whisper, and kisses him, and suck a little on his lip. And he lets out a small growl.

“Then I won’t.” He answers, and he pulls my top over my head, and I feel him carry me to the bed.
