Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 68

As soon as David had gotten the twins stabilized he came outside the room and I had been pacing around panicking the whole time we were there. Sara and Wendy were sitting there watching me, not knowing what to say. They knew that I was blaming myself. I did this to them. I didn’t know how I did this, but I did. I did this to them and they were in the clinic because of me.

“How are they?” I asked, racing over to David.

“They’re gonna be fine. I gave them some fluids through an IV and they are improving. They passed out because they knew that they needed to use every bit of energy they had to use the mate bond.” David said.

“So, this was my fault.” I said.

“No. It wasn’t. You didn’t know what you were doing. It was your first shift and no one knows anything about white wolves.” Sara said.

“She’s right. White wolves are so rare. You’re the first one that we’ve ever heard of. If they are out there, people are keeping it to themselves. Because they have power that other wolves would kill for.” Wendy said.

“They’re right. No one could have predicted how your first shift would have gone.” David said.

“Can I see them?” I asked.

“Sure.” He said.

So I walked into the room and they were both in separate beds in the room and I sat between them, holding both of their hands with my back to the door.

I knew that David had gone to his office but Wendy and Sara were standing behind me near the door.

Seeing them like this wasn’t something I was used to. I always saw them as these massive strong men that couldn’t get hurt by anything. But seeing them bandaged up from where I attacked them and they were unconscious because I couldn’t control Ava, it wasn’t something I was used to seeing. I couldn’t bear to see them like this.

I was trying to hold back whatever emotion I was feeling because right now I just felt like crying like a baby. But now I was too scared to feel anything. I had to be strong. I had to keep control of my emotions.

David said that they were going to be okay and I trusted him completely.

“Hey.” Nathan said, first.

“Oh my god. How do you feel?” I asked, standing up.

“I’m alright. A little tired.” He said. So I leaned down and I kissed him.

“What about me?” Tristan asked, from behind me. So I let out a little chuckle and I walked over and kissed Tristan as well.

I sat back on my chair and I was still holding both of their hands and Wendy came back with David so he could check them out.

“You two gave everyone a good scare today.” David said.

“Yeah. I bet we did.” Tristan said.

“You’d want to end up back here.” I said, not believing what he just said to me.

“Of course we would. If it meant helping you, then yes. Listen, we knew that there was something different about your wolf. It took her forever to show herself, she was always there but refused to come out. We’ve always known that we couldn’t expect her to be like every other wolf. We always knew she was going to be different.” Tristan said, walking over to us and wrapped his arms around us as well.

“I am really sorry. You have to know that. Even if you think I have nothing to be sorry about. I am.” I said.

Nathan kissed me on the top of my head and they just stood there holding me for a while.

It wasn’t too long before they walked over to their beds and they pushed them together and I stood there shaking my head while I was still wiping the tears out of my eyes.

“They said to conserve our energy.” I said. And Nathan started chuckling.

“And we are. It doesn’t mean that you’re going home alone. And we’re not sleeping here without you.” Tristan said.

So I smiled at them and I walked over and crawled up onto the bed and they got in on either side of me and they both wrapped their arms around me.

I once again felt safe in their arms and found it a lot easier to sleep. But then again, it was 4am in the morning. It had been a long night.

So, it didn’t take us long to fall asleep, wrapped up in each other’s embrace.
