Dean managed to find some clothes that were stashed in the forest. I assumed that there were clothes stashed everyone around the woods for his pack to use whenever they were running through the woods.
I stood there, petrified about what happened. I was just attacked by a wolf. A wolf that I didn’t know. A wolf that I had never seen before. Why the hell did he attack me?
“Ella.” Dean said, walking over to me. But I was standing there in shock. Not moving, not talking. Just staring at his dead body that had shifted back to his human form with his throat ripped out and he was just dead.
“Ella.” Dean said again, shaking me to get me out of my trance.
“Yeah.” I finally said.
“We have to go. My people are coming to clean this up. But we have to get out of here.” Dean said. And I just nodded my head.
He led me out of the forest and we walked a couple of blocks until we got to a brand new Mercedes sedan and he opened the passenger door for me and I got in the car.
He got in the driver’s seat and we got the hell out of there as fast as possible.
Dean was a really public figure in this city and he couldn’t be seen in the area in case it got out that there was a murder in the area.
We drove for what seemed like a long time but I was still in shock and I didn’t say anything the whole drive home.
We finally pulled up to a massive iron gate with wolves carved into it and Dean punched in a code for the gates to open.
We drove through the gates and I looked around to see that it was a whole neighborhood beyond that gate. This must be his pack. It was protected by those gates and the warriors that I saw running by on patrol.
We drove through this little miniature town until we started up a large driveway and we pulled up outside a massive mansion that was at least four stories big, and it curved around in a u-shape. Made of white stone with pants creeping up the side of some of the building to give it a real authentic look and so many windows.
There were pillars outside the front of the front door and Dean pulled up outside that front door.
We got out of the car and I stood there staring up at the house and Dean came and stood next to me.
“People told me that it was a little much when I had it built. But people also know me as being a billionaire. What else would I live in?” Dean asked.
I looked at him, still without saying a word, and then I looked back at the building.
He guided me to the front door and he opened it as we went inside to see a few people standing around. I didn’t know who any of them were but then a woman pushed through everyone.
A woman that was dressed in really expensive clothes, expensive jewelry and her hair and nails perfectly done. But the look on her face told me that she wasn’t very happy.
How could she not be happy in a house like this.
“What that fuck do you think you’re doing?” She yelled at Dean.
“I told you that she would be coming here, Sienna.” Dean said.
“And I told you to forget it. That little bastard is not welcome in my house. Now you, get the fuck out of my house.” Sienna said, pointing her finger at me.
“You know who she is.” Dean said.
“How can I not? Look at the eyes. They are the exact same as yours. The only two that I’ve ever seen like that. The green flakes actually glow. I know she’s your daughter, but have you thought about your other daughter? What about Sara?” Sienna asked.
“I will never forget about Sara. But Ella is my first born and the rightful heir to this pack.” Dean said. And I snapped my head to look at him. What? I’m the net heir to the pack? I’m the next Alpha? What the fuck? No one said anything like that to me before. I never agreed to that. Who the hell would? I only just found out that I was a werewolf and I don’t even know if I can shift yet. This is completely crazy.
“I don’t care what you think about her. Ella, get lost and go back to that little tart of a mother of yours.” Sienna yelled in my face. But I couldn’t think of anything to say to her.
Why was she attacking me like this? I really didn’t understand what was going on here.
Suddenly the atmosphere changed and Dean started exerting some sort of power which caused everyone in the room, except me, to start to slowly kneel before him. Including Sienna. They were all kneeling and they started shaking and sweating, like they were in pain.
Wait a minute. I saw the twins do this to Leia. What was Dean doing to them?
“I will only say this to you people once. You will be nice to Ella and you will accept her into this house whether you like it or not. Because Ella is the next Alpha of this pack.” Dean demanded in front of everyone who was kneeling in pain in front of him.
“Her? A human?” Sienna choked out.
Dean finally relaxed his posture and I saw everyone start to get up, feeling a lot better now and not in pain anymore.
“Are you kidding me? I have to kneel to a human?” Sara asked, walking down the stairs from upstairs. Obviously seeing the whole exchange that just happened with Dean and everyone else in the room.
Sara walked straight over to us, a look of murder in her eye, and she pushed me with so much strength that Dean had to catch me before I fell back onto the ground.
“I will never bow to a human. I will never disgrace this pack, but allowing them to follow a human when she clearly doesn’t even know how to lead anyone or anything let alone a whole pack of wolves.” Sara said through gritted teeth.
Sara then stormed out of the foyer area and her mother Sierra followed her and they went to another room and slammed the door.
“Come on, Ella. I’ll show you upstairs.” Dean said, completely ignoring what his mate and his daughter were carrying on with.
I was hesitant about following him but I finally did and we went up several flights of stairs until we got to the top floor and he opened large oak double doors that led into a suite that could fit Marilyn’s whole house in it. At least the bottom half of the house.
“No. Why?” I asked.
“I can smell blood.” He said. So I started looking myself over when I realized that there was blood on the back of my shirt.
I stood in front of the mirror and I lifted my shirt to see a branch from the woods had broken off and it was still lodged in my back.
“How the hell did I not know that was there?” I asked.
“Adrenaline. You couldn’t feel it.” He said, grabbing his phone out and calling someone immediately.
I knew that he was calling to get someone to come and help me, but I still didn’t feel any pain.
I stood there staring at Dean and he had a real sorrowful look on his face. I didn’t know what was going through his head right now but he took a couple of long fast strides towards me and he wrapped his arms around me.
“I promise that I will always protect you. No one will ever dare bully you again.” Dean said.
I finally felt the unprejudiced embrace of my father for the first time. It made me a little reluctant, like I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. But then I had this feeling, deep down in my gut that it wasn’t going to happen here. I believe that Dean was being completely sincere.
But that didn’t change my mind. I couldn’t accept his arrangement. I didn’t know if I would eventually become a wolf or not. And if I did, I would have to live as a lone wolf. Hopefully I wouldn’t go rogue like that other piece of shit that attacked me tonight.
I was tired of constantly being wrapped up in relationships and drama because of money and rights that people think they have to me.
But before I could tell Dean anything there was a knock on the door and a woman came in with some clean clothes for me to wear.
“Get cleaned up. And then we’ll talk some more.” Dean said. He kissed me on the forehead and he left the room.
I looked around the room for a few minutes before I saw the clothes that the woman had brought in.
They were pretty nice pajamas, so I decided to go and check out that shower but before I got in, I had to grab that branch that was stuck in my back and I wrapped my hand around it and ripped it straight out of my back causing me to scream. It started bleeding a lot more so that when I got in the shower to clean the wound and I got dressed.
I laid on the bed thinking how I was going to get out of here. I was afraid that Dean wasn’t going to let me go now that he had me here. And I am not surprised if he didn’t.
I tried to talk to Ava but she was still pissed at me for leaving the twins. So I couldn’t talk to her. She hates me right now. But I guess I didn’t blame her.
I closed my eyes in pain, thinking of the twins. I did miss them, but I knew that I couldn’t be with them.
And now I had to figure out how the hell I was going to get out of here. I didn’t want to be held hostage by my own father.
