Alpha alec's redemption (Sadie) novel Chapter 347

I move before I think and stand guard in front of Alec. I just can't stand back and watch them take him away from me. I just can't.

“No. You’re not taking him.” I tell them sharply, my hands fisted to my side.

The clearing erupts.

King is the first to move to my side, his presence a solid wall of authority and fury. Raven is right behind him, eyes blazing, power crackling beneath her skin. Piper stands next to her, face pale but resolute. Micah and Jason step forward as one, warriors through and through, hands already itching for a fight.

“You don’t get to do this,” I snap, staring the council dead in the eye. “He already fucking explained why he didn’t notify the council. He didn’t have any malicious intent so this is uncalled for.”

“This is council business,” Daelor replies coldly. “Stand down, little girl.”

“Go fuck yourself. I don’t take orders from cowards who hide behind titles while others bleed.”

A murmur ripples through the crowd.

He steps forward, his aura crackling, trying to intimidate me. What he doesn’t fucking know is that I am not a normal Luna, and I can wipe the floor with his pathetic face.

“You will show me and us respect,” he growls.

“Like I said, fuck you,” I bite back. “You will not take my mate from me.”

Micah growls low in his chest. “You touch him, and you’ll have a war on your hands.”

Jason nods. “Every pack here saw what happened last night. You don’t get to pin this on him.”

“Is that a threat?” another of the council members grits out, a witch this time.

My voice cuts through the space, deadly and pissed off. “Take it however you want, but if you arrest Alec, you won’t like what will happen.”

For a moment, just one, I think they might hesitate, but they don’t.

The guards grab Alec again, making my heart slam violently against my ribs. I turn to him, panic and rage tangling inside my chest.

“Sadie,” she whispers urgently. “Not now.”

I turn on her, fury blazing. “They’re taking him. I can’t let them take him.”

“I know,” she says, eyes shining. “But if you lose control here, they’ll take you too and we can’t have that. I know you have the power to take them down, but remember how unstable your powers are right now.”

That stops me. She’s right. With how unstable my powers have become, I might just cause more damage instead of helping.

I watch as the guards drag Alec away, and the sound of chains feels like they’re wrapping around my heart.

I can’t stop the tears that fall. I need him. I can’t let them keep him because I know the next agenda will be his execution. They will execute him for treason

The council leaves shortly after, taking Alec with them, and something inside me hardens. I will get him back no matter the cost.

After they are gone, I turn, pushing through the crowd to find Martha. Within minutes, I find her with Aspen and some other kids and parents.
