you.” 

“You already knew that, right? Nothing happened between us that night!” she shouted as tears streamed down her face. 

Timothy’s gaze turned cold, and his expression was unreadable. “So, when you told me you were pregnant shortly after… that was a lie too?” 

Nelly smiled bitterly. “Would you have married me if I hadn’t said that?” 

She could still remember that morning when she woke up to find him lying next to her. After a brief moment of shock, he quickly regained his composure. He double–checked to make sure nothing had happened the night before. 

When Nelly confirmed it, Timothy dressed as if nothing had occurred and gave her a warning. “I don’t care if it happened or not, but you’d better keep this to yourself.” 

There was no apology and no comforting words. He didn’t even offer the decency of treating her like an escort. At least they got paid. All he left her with was humiliation. 

A month later, Nelly went to Aren and Fiona with her pregnancy test results. She cried as she begged them to take her side. Both of them were furious, but their anger was directed 

at her. 

Nelly didn’t understand. She was the one who had been wronged, so why was she being blamed? But in the end, the two still intervened. 

Nelly didn’t know what was said between them. But the next day, Timothy agreed to marry
