Calvin felt bad for Hansel. He had watched Miranda and Hansel get together and come this far. How did their relationship end up like this?

After thinking for a while, he took out his phone and called a number, “Hi, Martha. Have you returned to the estate? Could you come over to the mansion right now?” 

Martha was at a loss for words. She had just dozed off! 

After half an hour, she showed up with dark circles under her eyes, looking quite annoyed. 

Calvin had already smoked two cigarettes by the time she arrived. His eyes lit up when he saw her. “Oh, Martha! Thank goodness you’re here!” 

Martha glanced at the bed and felt speechless. “Is he drunk again?” 

Couldn’t he just stop getting himself drunk almost every day? 

Calvin gave a light cough. “Well, you know… He’s in a bad mood, so he drank too much. I’ll leave him in your care, then.” 

With that, he quickly made his escape. 

Martha called after him, “Wait a minute!” 

Calvin stopped in his tracks. “Huh?” 

“There’s a trash can in the room.” 

Calvin looked puzzled. “Yes, I know. Why?”

An embarrassed look appeared on Calvin’s face. “I’ll be more careful next time…” 

Hansel was completely passed out. After Calvin left, Martha tucked him in bed and muttered under her breath as she went to the kitchen to make some hangover remedy. 

When she returned, she found Hansel had rolled off the bed and onto the floor. Martha’s face darkened. 

With a long sigh of resignation, she placed the hangover remedy aside before dragging Hansel back to bed like a sack of potatoes. After that, she brought over the hangover remedy to feed it to him. 

Hansel’s mouth was clamped shut while Martha tried to feed him the remedy. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t get him to swallow it. 

She didn’t want her hard work of brewing the remedy to be in vain, so she steeled herself and pinched Hansel’s cheeks. Finally, his lips parted. Now it was much easier for her to feed him… 

Martha was an attentive carer. She felt his forehead and noticed it was slightly warm. She quickly went to the bathroom, grabbed a wet towel, and placed it on his forehead. 

In a daze, Hansel felt a cooling sensation on his forehead. He struggled to open his eyes but couldn’t. He remembered that Miranda would always stay by his side after he came home drunk each time.
