The two friends soon arrived in one of the bookstores (there were two branches in the outer circle now) and bought a lot of stationery there.
In one corner of the bookstore beyond the cashier, there were a few tables and wall-counters where people could doodle on what they bought.
There were things like glues, pencils, and pens that they could use for free. The cashiers were usually accessible and knowledgeable about some form of art, so they could even get advice from them.
There were also a few stencils made of wood, so people who couldn’t draw could make cute line drawings of certain animals, shapes, and even characters.
Anyway, the friends were now composing a new set of letters to lure their other friends there. They were also giggling like idiots at a corner, making people give them a look.
"NYAHAHAHHAA!"
"No, send this."
"Add a bit more detail. There are post cards showing the rotunda, the alterran gardens, and the farmlands. Let’s add those."
"Ah, the library, too, that’s a good one."
"Eh, but wouldn’t it be too fantastic? They probably won’t believe it."
"Then, when they arrive and see, wouldn’t it feel like getting slapped in the face?"
"Right right!"
"Ahahahahahha"
They looked like idiots, but it wasn’t an odd sight in the place, so people just learned to ignore them.
After finishing their letters, they sealed the envelopes with cute stickers. To Terrans, only children and children-at-heart would use these. For locals, this was still unique and novel and therefore ’cool’.
"So what was the tribute you brought?" Tronie asked. When he sent a letter to them, he told them to bring interesting things. Even weird seeds or minerals that no one understood were fine.
Prague, the jerk, refused to tell him in advance. "Don’t tell me it’s your noise ball."
Alterra had a similar item, though it wasn’t a magic tool. It was the howlbreaker post, which actually worked decently for monsters below level 10. The camps around had a lot of these as well.
Anyway, while the noise ball was great (and worked for stronger monsters, around until level 20), it would not be enough to truly impress the geniuses here.
In order to climb high up the ladder, or to gain a good amount of contribution points quickly, one had to be either a genius, a family member of a genius, or have enough to offer a genius!

"This will so earn you a lot of contribution points!" he squealed. "Buy a residency as soon as you can, man!"
