Baltheo and the others nodded, absorbing the information she had just given them. It was really...difficult to believe. Their Village had a great ratio of fighters and soldiers, and they still suffered so much.
Yet they said that they had been battling mostly aborigine villages? And winning? And with so few losses?
Some were particularly cynical, thinking that they won due to some other reason...like fooling other villages to shield them.
Maybe that was why they were going around making allies with territories they had never met!?
At this, the Lord looked sharply at them. "Are you going to assist us in wars?" he asked. If they could not swear to do that, then what would be the point of taking this risk? It’d just increase the chances of them trying to use their village as a shield instead.
"We’re probably not going to send people—" Misha said, and she watched the atmosphere around them darken. She raised her hand as she continued her words. "However, we can supply good weapons for a fair price lower than the market."
"Weapons?"
They took out some advanced crossbows, iron weapons, and a steel sword.
The soldiers gaped at the weapons. Some had indeed developed improved weapons, like those from monster bones and the like, and they had also developed a crossbow (though they had to pay for some royalties). Each one of their development was far inferior to these weapons.
Most of these were Class D weapons, too!
They must have a few experts in their midst! How lucky!
"We also have steel," she said, taking out a dagger. It could’ve passed as something taken from Terran, but anyone with a close relationship with weapons could tell some differences.
"What?"
"However, steel is still limited to our forces, but iron weapons are fairly standard and can be purchased by outsiders now."
She didn’t tell them about the cannons or any other weapons of the sort. Those were limited and were naturally limited to Alterra and the satellites’ use.
"In exchange, we just want you to feed us updated information about the events here," she said. "We may also require some assistance whenever we... have to handle some surrounding villages."
This naturally made the soldiers become more guarded. They felt even more guarded now that they had a glimpse of the capability of the enemies, not including the level 40 leisurely sitting in front of them!
"I’m sure you know that aborigines are targeting us. They have been for the past several months in fact, and you should count yourselves fortunate they only got to you recently."
Her words shut down the retorts about to come out.
"Many Terran territories had been taken over by those bastards months ago," she continued, with a determined look on her face.
"We simply want to take them back."
