After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 902

“Mom.”

Isabella walked over, shot a quick glance at Ethan, and then slipped her arm through her mother’s, all smiles and warmth.

She spotted Zachary and Amelia stepping out of the car with the bodyguards and called out a greeting to them as well.

“Cynthia, hi.” Harold offered a polite nod.

“Harold.” Cynthia smiled back at him. She’d always thought well of Harold.

As the bodyguards started unloading the suitcases, Harold moved to help, but Ethan cut him off. “Take everything inside, don’t bother Harold with it,” he told the men.

So Harold didn’t even get his hands on a bag before the Adams family bodyguards had whisked the luggage away into the villa.

Isabella glanced over at Ethan, who was already looking at her. When their eyes met, he explained, “I just happened to be dropping off a really important client at the airport. He needed to rush back, so he bought a last-minute ticket. That’s why it was such a late flight.”

“On my way back, I ran into your mom and Zachary and the others, so I gave them a ride.”

Isabella thanked him.

“No need to thank me. It was on my way. It’s not like I went there just to pick up Mom.”

“They’ve just spent hours on a plane, so you should get them inside to rest. I’m heading home myself. I’ve got a business trip tomorrow and my flight’s at 9:50 in the morning. I’ll have to get up super early.”

Isabella was quiet for a moment. Then she said, “Since you have to catch a flight tomorrow, I won’t keep you. Go home and get some rest.”

Ethan’s eyes sparkled. He shook his head. “No rush. I’m only going to check on the branch office. I have a place to stay over there, so I don’t even need to pack. Makes things so much easier. At least I get to skip the whole packing ordeal.”

“Honestly, it’s no trouble for me to stay a little while. I could even have a late-night snack. Doesn’t bother me at all.”

Harold had to bite back a laugh. He thought, This guy’s been itching to come inside all along.
