After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 593

“If you want to apologize for Ethan, just wait until the bruises on my face are gone. Then you can take me out for dinner. That’ll count as your apology.”

Ethan snapped, “Harold, don’t get greedy. You want dinner? Fine, I’ll treat. I can buy you dinner every day if that’s what you want. Babe, I’m the one who hit him. I should be the one to apologize. Tonight, I’ll send him a big gift to make amends. If he wants dinner, I’ll pay.”

Harold’s true colors showed. He was just looking for an excuse to get Isabella to take him out. Ethan cursed him a thousand times in his head.

“Apologize to Harold. Right now.”

Worried Isabella might actually agree to that dinner, Ethan rushed over to Harold and started apologizing.

Harold looked at Ethan and couldn’t help but laugh a little. At the same time, he felt like Ethan deserved this. People only start fighting when they realize they’re about to lose something.

“If you’re the one treating, I don’t dare go. Who knows, maybe you’ll put something in my food and I’ll end up in the bathroom for three days straight.”

Ethan’s face turned dark. Harold was clearly trying to embarrass him in front of Isabella.

“Isabella, I’m fine. Just a bruise or two. I’ll put some ice on it when I get home. I should go. Can you let Barbara know for me?” Harold didn’t want to make things worse, so he decided to leave.

Once Harold was gone, Ethan headed back inside. Isabella was still on the sofa, her head bent over her phone, probably messaging Barbara.

Instead of going to her right away, Ethan poured her a glass of warm water and set it in front of her. He sat across from her, his face full of regret. “Isabella, I’m sorry. I lost my temper. In a couple of days, I’ll go apologize to Harold properly.”

Isabella finished her message and looked up at him. “I already told you, there’s nothing between Harold and me. Stop picking on him. You two used to be friends. The only times I’ve even seen him were when he was with Barbara. We’ve barely spoken in private. You need to stop acting crazy.”

She paused, her gaze sharp. “We’re in this mess because of you. So what’s the point of all these outbursts now? Who are you trying to impress? If you’re acting, at least try to keep it believable. Don’t drag everyone else into your drama.”
