Chapter 437 Let's Talk
It really bothered Chloe.
She didn't know if she could still treat Quinn the same way as before after she knew his feelings for her.
She always felt that it would be much more awkward to get along with each other in the future.
Victoria and Cathy returned to the Swift family from Shawn Manor.
As soon as they got back, Cathy was so angry that she threw the bag in her hand away.
She never thought that Chloe actually divorced Michael.
Now, all the evidence she had found had become useless.
"Mom, please do something!" Cathy pleaded.
Was she really going to be slapped twice by Chloe without fighting back?
Victoria also wore a serious expression.
She walked to the couch, sat down, and asked the servant to light a scented candle for her, finding solace in the comforting aroma that filled the air.
"Mom!" Cathy anxiously called out.
"Alright, if you hadn't acted recklessly, you wouldn't have fallen for Chloe's tricks. Stop," Victoria remarked, her patience wearing thin as she had too many similar complaints.
"Are you just going to watch me being bullied by her like this?" Cathy asked, unable to suffer in silence.
Victoria narrowed her eyes. "How is it possible!"
Cathy was still her daughter. She couldn't simply stand by and allow Chloe to bully her.
Just as Victoria was pondering a possible solution, the doorbell suddenly rang.
The servant went to open the door, and Jennifer walked in wearing sunglasses.
"I heard that Chloe and Michael are divorced?" Jennifer asked.
As soon as the news of Chloe's divorce was posted on the Internet, it went viral.
It was hard for Jennifer not to know.
Victoria didn't respond directly but instead let out a snort and remarked, "Now that she is no longer part of the Shawn family, shouldn't she return some of her things?"
Jennifer sat down facing Victoria, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
The following day, Chloe's phone kept ringing when she was at Bright Moon International.
James took a few glances at her and asked, "Is your phone voice-controlled?"
[Are you free today? How about we go out for coffee?]
Looking at his text messages, Chloe had no desire to reply to any of them.
James watched her silence the phone, noticing that she was trembling with suppressed laughter.
It was a bit difficult to hold back laughter.
Chloe calmed down and said, "Smith said he will return from abroad next week and asked me to remind you to pick him up at the airport."
The smile on James's lips suddenly froze.
"Damn it, I shouldn't have gloated over other people's misfortune!" James thought.
As soon as Chloe came out of Bright Moon International, she saw Victoria standing downstairs.
Chloe wanted to pretend she didn't see her, but it was obvious that Victoria was coming for her.
"Chloe, let's talk."
Despite not being regarded as a smart member of the Shawn family, she still looked arrogant when facing Chloe.
"We have nothing to talk about," Chloe replied, about to get into the car parked on the roadside.
Then, she turned around and looked at Victoria. "I don't think there's anything to talk about."
