"Huh?"

Chloe was stunned.

Wesley didn't say anything but pushed his phone toward her.

It showed his chat history with Candy.

Yesterday, Candy sent him a photo where she was holding hands intimately with a man, but the man's face wasn't visible.

Chloe felt something was off and scrutinized the photo.

Then she recognized the man. It was Quinn, who has a scar on his arm from a burn.

"Mr. Jenkins, here’s the question. Why were you so calm when you knew your father was going to marry Candy? If you really care about Candy that much, why let her misunderstand at the time?"

"I just wanted to resolve this matter as quickly as possible."

He had never been good with lengthy words. Efficiency was everything.

Little did he know that before he could talk to Richard about it, Candy had disappeared.

"Have you thought about marrying Candy? Or have you thought about going against your father, even opposing him for her sake?"

Wesley didn't speak but fell silent for a moment, as if seriously contemplating this.

"I can't give you an answer about marriage right now, but I'm sure I like her and want to stay with her. As for my father, I'll talk with him about it. He's not unreasonable."

Wesley seemed to consider the feasibility of this for a moment before reluctantly taking her phone.

When Candy received Chloe's call, before she could speak, she heard Wesley's deep voice. "Candy, your friend fainted. She's at my company right now."

Candy immediately sat up straight on the sofa. "Wesley, what did you do to Chloe?"

"She's not doing well. You'd better come over."

Wesley remained composed, looking at Chloe across from him.

Without even changing her clothes, Candy left immediately.

"Wesley, just you wait! If anything happens to Chloe, I'll make you apologize to her at any cost!"
