On my wedding day with Sunny, she discovered she was pregnant.
"Can we visit Aiden?" she asked.
I took her back to my hometown. This was a place Amelia had never wanted to go. She considered it backward and impoverished. It was beneath her.
But as I watched Sunny smile and laugh, so fascinated by everything she saw, I knew I had found the right woman.
We brought Aiden's favorite lilies.
Sunny knelt down, her hand caressing the tombstone. "Aiden, if you want to be with your mommy, come to me. I will take care of you."
Tears welled up in my eyes. I hugged Sunny tightly.
"Sunny, if I had met you first, our lives would have been so different."
