"I'm heading to the airport now. Straight to Maxlandia."
"That fast?" Starla sounded surprised that Tanya had managed to get away from Darian so quickly. She had given the man twenty-four hours, after all! Barely an hour had passed, and Tanya was already out?
Darian... just how far does your heart lean toward Yulisa?
But none of that mattered anymore. Tanya was severing ties with him completely; whoever he favored was entirely his own business now.
"Yeah, that fast," Tanya replied.
"Now do you see? Everything I advised you was right." How could Tanya possibly build a life with a man like that?
"Don't release Yulisa," Tanya added suddenly, a hint of ruthlessness creeping into her tone.
"Understood," Starla replied.
She naturally wasn't going to just let the woman go. Tanya's reputation in Marina City had been completely decimated. Whether it was the Lynn family's doing or Yulisa's, someone had to step up and set the record straight. Yulisa wouldn't be returning until Tanya was fully satisfied with the public retraction.
"I'm almost at the airport," Tanya said, a warm feeling spreading in her chest at their unspoken synchronization.
"Do you need money?"
"No, I'm good."
Money wasn't an issue.
"Darian is calling me again. Stall him," Tanya requested. Since she hadn't technically left Marina City yet, that bastard could still change his mind and drag her back. She needed to buy some time.
"Leave him to me."
