A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 514

Starla replied calmly, "All of the Yelchin family's money, this mansion, and the Yelchin Group. Oh, and I want Annika's and Harley's money too."

Over the past few days, Starla had done her research, calculating the full extent of the Yelchin family's wealth. Their fortune was truly vast.

"You're going too far!" Darleen cried.

"Not a single penny less, or the deal is off," Starla stated, her tone unyielding. If they refused, their suffering would continue indefinitely.

Her stance was absolute. Furious, Darleen and Xenia stormed away.

Their assigned task for the day was to be outside, shoveling the snow that had fallen all night, blanketing the grounds in a thick layer.

Already exhausted and chilled to the bone from the previous night, working in the freezing open air was a new level of torture for them.

"Mom, if we give her everything, will she really let us go?" Xenia asked, her resistance crumbling.

Darleen shot her a sharp look. "Don't even think about it!" she snapped.

All of the Yelchin family's money—the sheer nerve of that woman! Darleen had been incensed when she heard the demand from Starla's associate, but hearing it from Starla herself sent her into a blind rage with no outlet.

Brinley and Sally were also assigned to clear snow, just in a different area.

"It doesn't look like this is going to end anytime soon," Sally commented. The Yelchins would never agree to Starla's terms, but Starla seemed just as unwilling to back down.

"Of course not," Brinley agreed. She knew that when Starla said all of the Yelchin family's money, that included her own fortune. The woman was asking for the moon, completely unafraid that her greed might be her undoing.
