A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 361

"Starla seems dead set on divorcing you,” Darian said. "Why are you forcing her to stay before?"

Everything Starla had done recently revolved around the divorce. So, in Darian's mind, this latest, massive uproar was just another attempt to secure her freedom. She was clearly trying to tear their relationship to shreds. If this continued, it would only end in mutual destruction. From his perspective, there was no point in trying to salvage it.

Caden shot Darian a look but ultimately agreed. "Yeah, if she wants a divorce, just give it to her," he chimed in.

“Let her go before she ruins you completely,” Caden thought, though he knew more than he was letting on.

Fairfax fell silent. Hearing both Darian and Caden advocate for the divorce only made the knot in his chest tighten.

Was it him who was unwilling? He was more than willing now. He wanted nothing more than to divorce her immediately.

"I want to divorce her too, but now she's the one who refuses. What am I supposed to do?"

Darian’s jaw dropped. Caden froze. Fairfax's words stunned them into silence.

Darian's mouth twitched. "What? Starla doesn't want a divorce anymore?"

"Then what were all those fires across Marina City about today?" Darian asked, bewildered.

Even though Darian and Caden were being worked to the bone by their own families, news of such a major incident in Marina City had naturally reached them. When they heard that various Yelchin family properties were on fire, they knew instantly it had to be Starla’s doing.

To cause such a scene, a hysterical, scorched-earth campaign, only to say she didn't want a divorce? Was this how someone who didn't want a divorce behaved?
