A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 320

Tanya was right. When Starla returned to the Yelchin family estate, there would be no escape. It would be a full-scale invasion, a battle fought in every room, at every meal. There would be no corner for them to hide in.

“I could go now, if I wanted,” Starla said, a slow, dangerous smile playing on her lips. “I’ve already made all the arrangements.”

“What kind of arrangements?” Tanya asked, intrigued.

“Staff,” Starla replied coolly. “Maids, a nutritionist, bodyguards… the works.”

“Damn, you’re thorough,” Tanya said, impressed. “I guess it doesn’t matter where you recover. But when you move back in, you won't be the one whose health suffers. It’ll be theirs.”

The smile on Starla’s face widened, a chilling glint in her eyes. “Let’s make it tomorrow, then.”

Their good days were over!

When Garret received the news, he was momentarily surprised.

“I’ll arrange for more people to go with you,” he said immediately. Starla’s health was still fragile; she would need her own team to care for her inside the viper’s nest.

“Do it,” she commanded.

Garret hurried off to prepare, sending a quick message to Yardley. A moment later, his phone rang. Garret answered respectfully, “Sir.”

“Do we still not know what happened?” Yardley’s voice was grave.

“Miss refuses to say anything, sir. But from her actions, it’s clear she wants to make sure the Yelchin family never has another day of peace.”

Yardley was silent for a moment. So the words of that old woman must have cut deeper than he could imagine.
