Yulisa felt a lump form in her throat. Those words only made the pain in her chest worse. Suddenly, Tanya's mocking words rang true. They didn't bother putting on an act in front of Darian; they wanted him to see clearly that they absolutely despised her. Both Yulisa and the Lynn family were scheming on how to drive Tanya away for good.

"I'll tell you when I get there," Yulisa replied, her voice choked with emotion. She sounded completely suffocated. She couldn't possibly explain it over the phone, and she was struggling to keep her emotions in check.

"Alright," Rowena agreed.

She ended the call. Twenty minutes later, Yulisa arrived at the Lynn estate. Darian was already gone.
