A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 1110

Amos returned to his residence and immediately told his wife, "Honey, pack your bags. We're going on vacation."

Susanna Yelchin was visiting Yvonne at the time. Yvonne hadn't been paying much attention to her because of what had happened to Starla.

Seeing Amos rush in, Yvonne raised an eyebrow. "Vacation? Now?"

Given the explosive situation in Cyrus Sea, was this really the right time? Though, admittedly, it had been a while since they had traveled.

Susanna stood up awkwardly. "I should get going."

"Yeah, see you," Yvonne dismissed her lightly.

After Susanna left, Amos glanced at the door. "What did she want?"

"What else? Looking for sympathy," Yvonne scoffed. They had barely exchanged two words. Susanna had been consumed with guilt over Starla's death and had come to Yvonne because she had no one else to talk to. The local staff spoke the Cyrus dialect, which outsiders couldn't understand. But Yvonne was highly selective about her company, and her disdain for the Yelchins was a massive barrier. Right now, she had zero patience for Susanna.

"Those siblings are cut from the same cloth," Amos muttered. Fairfax was fishing for comfort, and so was Susanna. But after the catastrophic mess they had caused, who in their right mind would offer them a shoulder to cry on? Exactly no one.

"Enough about them," Yvonne sighed. "Why the sudden vacation?"

"Yardley sent men with divorce papers for Fairfax to sign," Amos explained.
