A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 371

Sierra wore a brilliant smile, cocked her head, and gave him the cutest look. "I'm not scared of them. After all, I did nothing wrong."

If anything, Benson and Sophie were the ones who should be scared of her. She had done nothing wrong, so there was nothing to be scared of.

Theo understood what she meant, and his heart clenched. He wanted to ask her if she hadn't moved on from Benson. However, their relationship was just improving. What if she got mad at him over this very question?

At the thought of it, the fearless man chickened out at once.

Silence hung over the car.

All of a sudden, his phone buzzed, and the sound particularly stood out against the absolute silence in the car.

Theo answered his phone as he drove. "Hello?"

"Theo, word on the street is that you're back from your trip interstate. Want to hang out?" Douglas asked chirpily.

Theo lowered his head and checked the phone number on his phone screen. He lowered the volume and responded, "I'm busy."

"Not today. I'm saying, let's go unwind a little at a resort two days from now." Douglas was worried that Theo might reject him, and he continued, "Daniel and Simon are going too."

"Resort?" Theo glanced at Sierra, shooting her a question telepathically.

She stayed home and practiced a lot because she needed to prepare herself for the competition. Now that it was over, it was time for her to let down her hair. He just wasn't sure whether she liked resorts.

Douglas thought Theo was asking him. He hurriedly responded, "Yeah. It's a newly opened resort. There are a lot of recreational activities over there, such as a horse racetrack and a racecourse for cars.

"We still hadn't gathered and hung out for the New Year celebration. This time, you have to be there." Douglas sounded a little impatient, like he would be in big trouble if Theo didn't go.

Confusion flashed in Theo's eyes, but he didn't let it bother him too much. After all, they had been friends for decades now. Douglas would never put him in harm's way.

Several ladies around him saw it, looking like they wanted to eat him up. Just as they were about to flirt with him, a young lady showed up and supported Benson. Her face reddened as she adjusted his shirt. "Are you okay?"

In his daze, Benson thought he saw Sierra. She was looking at him fondly and shyly, like she had done before. Happiness surged in his chest as he pulled her into his arms. "Cee, I knew you loved me."

The ladies who intended to have a one-night stand with him thought the young lady was his girlfriend, and they left in disappointment.

The young lady's eyes flickered. She struggled for a while and said frantically, "I-I'm not Cee. Let me go."

Benson acted as if he didn't hear her. Holding the back of her head, he closed his lips on her.

At the same time, Sophie woke up because she was starving. She checked the time and realized that it was already past 11:00 pm. She hesitated to snack at this time of night. After all, it would make her gain weight with more ease.
