Adrian replied, "I understand. Mrs. Gray truly is amazing!"
Theo wrote, "I'll give you a one-month bonus."
Adrian's miserable expression from working overtime immediately disappeared. As all his exhaustion vanished, he felt like Lady Luck was shining on him.
…
Sierra and Theo boarded a plane from Oceanea City to Vellmont City a few days later.
She had been too excited to sleep the night before and had woken up too early in the morning. Hence, she started to doze off upon sitting down in her seat.
Noticing that she had dozed off, Theo, who sat beside her, called a flight attendant to bring a blanket over.
Shifting repeatedly on her seat, Sierra could not find a comfortable position to doze off into. Seeing her fidgeting around, Theo covered her with the blanket and pulled her into his embrace.
Perhaps it was because she was already used to sleeping in his embrace, but she slept extremely well.
…
Three hours later, Theo woke her up. "Sierra, it's time to wake up. We need to get off the plane."
Sierra opened her eyes and drowsily looked out the window. Her hair was a mess as she stretched, replying, "That was fast!"
Pulling her up, Theo tidied her hair and advised, "Wear your coat. It's quite cold outside."
Sierra listened obediently and wrapped herself tightly with her coat. Then, all the flight attendants watched with a bright smile as Theo and Sierra got off the plane while holding hands.
After finally getting off the plane, she finally came to her senses and asked, "Should we go and look for a hotel first?"
"There's no need for that. Adrian has already booked us a hotel in advance," Theo said as he held her hand in one hand and their luggage in the other.
Once they walked out of the airport, a young man in a suit approached them. He respectfully took their suitcases from Theo's hands and greeted, "Mr. Gray, the car is this way."
Hearing the list of accomplished competitors, Sierra could not help but feel nervous. However, instead of backing down, she felt much more determined and motivated.
"The competition will be really fierce this time round. It seems like everyone is giving their all for the opportunity to compete abroad," Sierra commented.
In truth, the opportunity to compete abroad was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If they were to perform well during the competition abroad, they would be well-known within the country.
Cayden smiled and encouraged, "Good luck! Hopefully, we'll be able to compete abroad together!"
Smiling, Sierra nodded and teased, "Cayden, you're my opponent now. How can you wish me good luck?"
Cayden's expression remained nonchalant as confidence and pride filled his eyes. "Competition drives progress. Sierra, I won't go easy on you during the competition later."
They exchanged glances and smiled.
Suddenly, a hotel key card was shoved between them.
