A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 336

One of the guests commented, "She's not from our circle and more like a Cinderella. Mr. Benson actually dumped his fiancée for her."

"Stop talking nonsense. She's Mr. Theo's wife now."

Benson's steps faltered as his gaze locked onto Sierra in the crowd, and his eyes were filled with sorrow.

The guests followed his line of sight and were instantly stunned, their minds racing with thoughts about the tangled love and resentment between Theo and Benson.

Noticing the subtle glances directed at her, Sierra froze slightly and instinctively reached for Theo's sleeve.

Sensing her movement, Theo remained calm, taking her hand in his and giving it a reassuring pat. "It's fine."

With just a glance, the emcee immediately caught on. He quickly strode over and pulled Benson toward the stage. "Looks like the groom is eager to meet his bride! Let's not keep him waiting—please welcome the most beautiful woman of the day!"

Sophie was already in a bad mood because Benson hadn't responded to her messages or shown up earlier. Now, seeing him staring at Sierra so openly, she felt utterly humiliated and furious.

As the originally planned ceremony was hastily shortened, it was harder for her to maintain her forced smile. The closer she got, the clearer it became—Benson's face lacked the joy.

She felt a deep sense of shame and anger. They already had a child together, so why was he still behaving like he was still deeply in love with Sierra?

Gripping the hem of her gown tightly, she struggled to keep her expression in check. Forcing a stiff smile, she ended up looking even more awkward.

The guests weren't fools. They could all tell something was off.

"Looks like Mr. Benson still loves his ex-fiancée… who's now his aunt."

"I heard Sophie was the mistress."

"They don't look like they're getting married. If you didn't know better, you'd think they were being forced into some kind of grudge match."

Everyone was smiling—everyone except the bride and groom.

After the ceremony, Sophie changed into another dress and clung to Benson's arm as they made their way through the hall to toast the guests.

Taking advantage of a moment when no one else was nearby, she lowered her voice, hissing, "It's our wedding day. Could you at least try to smile? Does marrying me really make you that miserable?"

Benson didn't even spare her a glance. Simply raising his glass, he answered coldly, "If it weren't for the baby, I wouldn't be here at all."

Sophie hadn't expected him to be so blunt. She quickly scanned the area to make sure no one had overheard her before swallowing her frustration and forcing a strained smile.

"Benson, now that we're married, we're the closest to each other. You're the only one me and my child can rely on. Even if it's just for the child's sake, can't you at least try to be happy?"

She had finally accepted the fact that Benson felt absolutely nothing for her. So, she changed tactics, using the child as a means to tie him down.

This time, Benson's gaze finally shifted and fell on her stomach. He didn't say anything, but his expression softened.
