A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 243

"You're such a good girl. It's no wonder Ms. Anderson likes you so much." The female teacher chuckled as she patted Sierra's head.

The other teachers also gathered around, ruffling her hair affectionately.

By the time she finally made it out of the office, her hair was a complete mess.

Looking slightly shaken, she hurriedly tidied her hair while walking downstairs, her steps light and quick.

"Sierra!"

She had barely taken a few steps when she saw Cayden rushing toward her, looking slightly out of breath. "Cayden, how's your injury?"

Gazing at her gently, he tried to even out his breathing and replied, "It's almost better. How's your shoulder doing?"

Raising her hand to touch her left shoulder, she responded, "It's almost healed too. Thank you for your concern, Cayden."

Cayden walked to her side, and they went off side by side.

"I haven't congratulated you for winning second place. I was watching your performance live through the live stream, and I think you're amazing. You probably would have won first place if your shoulder injury didn't affect the performance."

At the front of the piano classroom, Felicia was holding a thermos with a shy look. She would occasionally lift her head to peek inside the classroom with anticipation.

"Something came up halfway, so Cayden had to leave. He probably won't be back anytime soon. If you don't mind, I can help you pass him whatever you want to give him."

Cayden's friend had gotten used to dealing with such girls who had a crush on Cayden.

Looking slightly disappointed, Felicia handed him the thermos and said softly, "Then, I'll have to trouble you. Thank you."

"Have you heard? The girl who got second place in the Marisol Cup, Sierra, has transferred to our school."

"I know her. She was criticized so harshly before, but as it turns out, she's actually really talented. She proved everyone wrong with her skills."

"I wonder who was behind all the slander against her."

Displeasure flashed across his eyes, but he still asked patiently, "Why were you looking for me?"

She fiddled with her hands shyly and lowered her head. "I brought some stew for you, and I've already asked one of your friends to put it on your table."

Sierra took a step back, shifting her gaze elsewhere. She was debating whether she should just leave.

"Stew?" Cayden looked puzzled, clearly unaware of her plans. "I appreciate the thought, but you should have it yourself."

Before Felicia could answer, he looked up and instead mentioned, "Sierra, let's go somewhere else."

Looking at Cayden, Sierra answered, "Maybe you should head to class first, Cayden."

Sierra looked at Cayden and said, "Cayden, maybe you should just head to class first."

Walking past Felicia, he approached Sierra, saying, "There's still some time before class starts, and I want to talk about your piano fingering."

The moment the topic shifted to something related to the piano, Sierra completely forgot about the people around her.
