A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 239

When Sierra was about to get up, Theo held her back, saying, "The wound is fine. Stay with me for a while."

Sierra stopped struggling, afraid of touching his wound.

It was the first time they had been so close. Initially, her body was a bit stiff.

Listening to Theo's heartbeat and breathing, she gradually relaxed, finding a comfortable angle to rest her head.

"Uncle Theo, don't do that again next time.

"If something happens to you because of me, I would feel guilty for the rest of my life.

"You can't have sweet potato oatmeal. I'll make you something else later, okay?"

Theo stroked her hair with his eyes closed; his voice was soft and gentle. "Okay, I won't do it again.

"Were you scared today?"

Sierra didn't answer, her eyes fixed on the IV drip.

Theo didn't let Sierra cook. Instead, he had someone deliver a table of light dishes.

When Sierra opened all the containers, she realized Theo couldn't eat by himself.

After a moment of hesitation, she picked up the spoon and sat beside him. "Do you want me to feed you?"

Theo's eyes sparkled with amusement, making him appear considerably gentler. He obediently ate everything she brought to his mouth.

"Do you want some mushrooms?"

"Yes."

"Try this soup and see if you like it."

"I like it."

Sierra fed Theo a plate of risotto. When she looked up, she met his affectionate and tender gaze. "Uncle Theo, are you full?"

Seeing Theo nod, she naturally reached out to wipe his mouth.

When her fingertips grazed his soft lips, Sierra's pupils quivered, and she shyly lifted her head.

Theo didn't move, allowing her fingers to linger on his lips.

Most importantly, the way Sierra looked at Theo had changed significantly, seemingly with more trust!

When they arrived at their destination, they stood outside the car to say goodbye.

"Be careful not to get your wound wet, and make sure to rest well."

"Go back and get some rest. Call me if you need anything."

They both spoke at the same time, then smiled at each other.

She was beautiful and gentle, he was tall and handsome. Standing together, Adrian couldn't help but think they were a perfect match.

Sierra pushed open the front door, and Madison, who had been lounging on the couch, suddenly sat up.

"Why are you back?"

Sierra found her question strange and countered, "Where else would I go?"

Madison put down her phone, walked over, and said matter-of-factly, "The Gray residence, of course."

Under Sierra's astonished gaze, she began to analyze. "You and him, a man and a woman, alone in a room—sparks were bound to fly..."
