A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 205

Theo narrowed his eyes slightly, leaning lazily against the couch, one leg crossed over the other. His voice was indifferent as he spoke, "Liam, I can't help with this."

Liam's brows knitted together.

"Theo, Benson is your nephew."

"In the office, we discuss business. If you want to talk about personal matters, we'll discuss it after work at home."

Theo's expression turned cold, his tone firm and professional.

Liam clenched his cup tightly, downing the remaining contents swiftly to suppress his frustration. He stood up, looking at Theo. "Theo, stop by for dinner sometime. Benson wants to apologize to you in person."

"Alright, I'll come by when I have time."

"Good. I'll leave you to your work."

Liam exited the office, but the moment he stepped outside, his expression darkened. He never expected Theo to have had the feelings for Sierra. That was why he did everything in his power to keep Benson away from her.

Was it just about her, though? Or was this about company shares too?

Over at the Shaws, Madison drove Sierra to the Shaw Residence.

The car came to a stop, and Sierra unbuckled her seatbelt and turned to Madison. "Maddy, I can handle this myself. Just wait for me in the car."

"No way, you're still injured. I'll go in with you. What if that jerk of a dad of yours gets upset and hurts you again? I promised Theo I'd take care of you. Honestly, I already feel guilty for bringing you out, but if something happens to you, I think Theo might just peel my skin off." Madison looked at her with concern.

Sierra chuckled softly. "Relax. I know what I'm doing. I still have the competition coming up. I wouldn't risk getting hurt before then. Besides, William knows I'm close to Uncle Theo now—he wouldn't dare lay a hand on me."

"William completely disagrees with you and Theo getting married. Do you think he'll give you the birth certificate?"

Madison's voice was filled with concern.

Sierra let out a relieved breath.

"This is my mother's house. I just need to take care of something. There's no danger, so you don't have to follow me inside."

"Apologies, Ms. Shaw, but we can't do that," one of the guards insisted. "Mr. Gray specifically ordered that whenever you leave, at least one of us must stay by your side. If anything happens, it's not just our jobs on the line—Mr. Gray's anger is something we really can't afford to deal with. Please understand."

Madison jumped in before Sierra could argue. "Sierra, just take one of them with you. It's safer that way. Plus, it'll give me peace of mind."

Sierra sighed, realizing there was no getting out of it.

"Alright," she relented, turning to the bodyguards. "Lyonel, come with me."

Lyonel nodded respectfully and followed her as she stepped into the Shaw residence.
