"Why are you still thinking about Sierra? You two have already broken up. Stop chasing after her!" Janet's face darkened with anger as she snapped at Benson.
"I'm not giving up. If Cee won't forgive me, I'll just apologize until she eventually changes her mind," Benson insisted stubbornly, causing Janet's face to flush with frustration.
"Why can't you understand words? Sierra already told you it's over. Why are you still clinging to her?"
"I have every right to pursue her again. We might have broken up, but she's still single, isn't she?"
"Why you!" She was so furious that she couldn't even speak. Her hands trembled as she pointed at him, after which she smacked his leg.
"How did I end up with such a spineless son? Do whatever you want! I don't give a crap anymore. You'll only learn your lesson when you die in her hands!"
With that, she stormed out of the living room in a rage.
Liam sighed deeply, after which he added, "You may think Sierra is gentle and obedient, but in reality, she doesn't tolerate even a speck of betrayal."
Benson lowered his head. The truth was, he had long since regretted everything.
All along, he had believed Sierra was soft-spoken and kind, that she always respected him and went along with whatever he said. Even when they argued, she was always the first to apologize and back down.
He knew that William never truly cared for her. She had no one else in the world to rely on but him. So he was certain she would never leave him. Even if she got mad, it would only be temporary.
In fact, he had even thought that Sierra was being unreasonable whenever she got upset about Sophie.
But recently, he had seen her getting closer to Cayden. He had also witnessed Theo's constant care and protection over her. The jealousy burned inside him. He couldn't even stand hearing about it, let alone watching it unfold before his eyes. The more he thought about it, the more he feared she would fall for someone else.
He finally understood how Sierra must have felt every time she saw him stand up for Sophie. He had truly been wrong.
"Your grandfather adores Sierra. Her father was one of his closest friends, and he watched her grow up, treating her like his own granddaughter. When you proposed the engagement, he was overjoyed.
"He even offered to give her a villa as a wedding gift. That alone should tell you how much he values and cherishes her."
