A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 178

Liam said, "Theo, Benson was taken away by the police today. They said it was for intentional assault. I had someone look into it—he got into a fight when he went to find Sierra."

"If Benson got arrested for fighting, why are you coming to me?" Theo's tone was indifferent as he handed his suit jacket to the housekeeper and sat down on the couch.

"Theo, stop pretending you don't understand! You're the one who had the police hold Benson. Let him go immediately!" Janet lost control of her temper and shouted angrily.

Theo let out a cold chuckle, and his icy gaze flashed with a sharp edge.

"Benson was detained for intentionally hurting someone. He made a mistake. Why shouldn't the police punish him?"

As his chilling words fell, the air in the room seemed to drop several degrees.

Janet shuddered and clenched her fists tightly.

"If you've already looked into the situation, you should know that Benson was the one in the wrong."

"Why couldn't Sierra's classmate just mind their own business? And Sierra keeps clinging to Benson! She's the one who caused all this trouble!"

"Janet!"

Bang!

Before Liam could say more than her name, a loud, heavy thud echoed through the room. Theo had slammed his water glass onto the table with force. His sharp gaze sliced toward Janet like a blade, and his cold, piercing eyes seemed to see straight through her. The aura around him was so frigid that the very air in the room felt frozen.

"You know exactly who is at fault here, Janet. Instead of looking for someone else to blame after the fact, maybe spend more time disciplining your son."

Janet's pupils contracted slightly as she took in Theo's merciless expression.

"Theo, I apologize for how I spoke earlier. Please, just let Benson come home," Janet lowered her stance and pleaded.

Theo arched an eyebrow slightly, and his voice was unwavering and cold. "I already said he should face the consequences for what he's done. If you won't teach him, then as his elder, I will."

Janet's face turned ugly and she pressed her lips together tightly.

She had already swallowed her pride and begged, yet Theo still refused to let Benson go.

He was too ruthless.

"My son is my responsibility. It's not your place to interfere."

"Janet." Liam pulled her back by the arm before turning to Theo, his expression darkening. "Theo, Benson being in the police station affects the Gray family's reputation. Don't you care about that?"
