A Ruling Passion: Mr Tremont's Priceless Little Bride novel Chapter 305

Arianne was speechless as she walked over to clean the mess. The takeout from two days ago smelled horrible, as if it had started to rot. Being more sensitive to smell now that she was pregnant, she couldn’t help but dry heave. Suddenly aware of the situation, Lillian exclaimed, “I forgot that you’re pregnant! Leave it, leave it, I’ll clean it up. Wash up and go rest! Do you want to eat anything? I can order takeout for you!”

Shaking her head, Arianne held her breath and cleared garbage off of the coffee table. “Auntie Lane, Tiffie is tired from work too. You shouldn’t trouble her with minor tasks like these when you can handle them too. The other chores, like mopping the floor or cleaning the house, can be done over the weekends.”

Lillian agreed but her eyes were glued to the television, obviously making perfunctory replies.

Arianne did not have the heart to say anything else, taking her clothes and going for a shower. She got off work quite early today but still felt thoroughly exhausted. All she wanted to do was to get a good night’s sleep, but she was hungry on top of everything else. There was not a single drop of energy left in her.

When she got out of the bathroom, Lillian passed her a plate full of fruits. “Have something to eat first. If you don’t like these, ask Tiffie to make you something you’d like. By the way, I wanted to ask, you won’t actually wait until after you’ve given birth to tell Mark about the baby, will you? Tell him now. He won’t actually prohibit you from giving birth to the baby anyway. You’re the queen if you go through your terms in the Tremont’s, where there are so many people to serve you. You have to work so hard every day here, it will become tiring.”

Arianne subconsciously thought that Lillian minded her staying here. It was upsetting to be unwelcomed, so she said softly, “Have… Have I troubled you?”

Lillian waved. “No, of course not. I just can’t bear to watch you work so hard every day with a baby bump, so I’m just asking. Eat up, fruits are good for your baby’s skin.”

She received a fervent shake of Tiffany’s head as a reply. “I don’t usually interact with him during work. We rarely talk, actually, or meet eachother.”

Arianne made a bold guess,“He doesn’t like you, does he? Otherwise, why would he ask you to sleep with him? Even though it’s only just sleeping, the act itself is very suggestive.”

Like her? Tiffany shuddered while hearing the term. “Ari, best not to say something like that. It’s not like I’ve never dated. Wouldn’t I feel it if he liked me or not? Besides, I don’t like him. He’s like a golden fountain to me: I can get a bit of gold from him when necessary but if you want me to swallow everything, I won’t be able to do it. And I’m incapable of managing the fountain too, I’m useless like that. As for his request of sleeping together, I think it’s just a fixation.”
