As soon as he had reached Nadeem City, Jace had been bombarded with texts from Yoel. He was puzzled as he went through the texts back in his office.

What did Sage have to do with Chef Myles Damian and the Damian family?

He certainly was aware that Sage knew how to cook.

Back when he was bedridden, she had cooked for him, but he did not have the capacity to enjoy food. He even remembered even knocking over a tray of food that she had prepared for him.

Later when he was discharged from the hospital, Sage had also cooked for him several times.

Facing her, Yoel asked, “Say, how many skills do you have tucked away?”

Sage chuckled. “Get lost!”

Yoel too pulled into a smile.

The delivery man took out a notebook and requested, “Could you please sign here?”

Sage was baffled. She was suddenly reminded of Yoel’s cheeky smile.

So this was what he meant by he would “work harder”…
