A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 50

Chapter 50

Julian and Yeva turned to look at Sage at the same time.

Although she had a cold and indifferent expression, Sage’s remarks were filled with sarcasm.

Studying Julian from head to toe, Sage mocked, “Do you even look at yourself before you judge others? Look at that beer belly of yours. Can’t you see it sticking out?”

At Sage’s remarks, Julian cleared his throat uncomfortably and sucked in his stomach.

Before Julian could even defend himself, Yeva exploded

Like a wife protecting her husband, Yeva stood in front of Julian and started yelling angrily at Sage, “Who are you to judge my boyfriend? What does it matter to you if he has a beer belly? I like Julian no matter how he looks. You don’t even know how to appreciate men! It is no wonder you’re single and unmarried!”

Thinking that she was defending Julian, Yeva got even bolder and continued, “Pft, a woman like you would get divorced later even i f you get married!”

Sage stared at Yeva with a cold and piercing gaze.

Sage had only criticized Julian because she had been uncomfortable with him judging and criticizing a lady. She had not done it to help Yeva Who would have thought that Yeva would be ungrateful and start insulting Sage? Sage thought that she should have just turned a blind eye to the situation

Sage had been unbothered by Yeva’s rambling, but the last comment had struck a chord in her.

Sage squinted. She remarked that she had been going too easy on Yeva these past few days.

Looking at Yeva who was about to pass out, Sage sneered, “Did you think that I was joking when I said that I will make you pay with your life for what you did to me? I can kill you as easily as I can kill an ant. If you don’t wish to die quickly then I suggest you keep your mouth shut and behave. Do you hear me?”

Yeva nodded her head frantically as she desperately wanted Sage to let her go.

Sage released her grasp around Yeva’s neck and threw Yeva into Julian’s arms. Yeva started coughing strenuously as soon as she was able to breathe again.

In the meantime, Luther had finally arrived. Getting down from the car, he asked, “What happened?”

“It’s nothing. I simply taught my cousin to behave.” Wiping her hands with a wet tissue handed to her by her assistant, Sage walked away without even turning back and added, “Let’s go.”
