Chapter 464 Sage and Luther were about to bring Melody up to the car when Jace chased after them from behind.
“Sage…”
Jace was about to say something when Sage responded, “It’s okay, Mister Jace, we’ve booked a hotel room already. We’ll drive there ourselves.”
The hotel Jace booked for them, Emerald Bay Inn, was under the Yuriel Group. However, Wayne chose to stay with Mendoza, and Sage and the others did not want to accept the benefit by themselves.
On top of that, Emerald Bay Inn was the hotel where Jace and Sienna had their wedding, and Sage felt that it was a sign of bad luck
“If you don’t like Emerald Bay Inn’s environment, I can arrange for another hotel for you to stay in…” Jace said hurriedly.
…Alright. Melody accepted her fate. She leaned back on the seat and started gossiping, “Aunt Sage, that handsome man was your ex-husband, right?” Is he trying to get you back?” “This is grown-ups’ matter, a kid like you has nothing to do with it,” Sage responded with a straight face. Melody pouted unhappily. “I’m turning eighteen soon. I’m not a kid anymore…”
Luther added, “If you’re not a kid, why would you run away from home over nothing?” “Uncle Luther.” Melody glared at Luther in annoyance. Sage continued the lecture, “If you’re not a kid anymore, stop doing childish things and worrying the adults.”
Melody’s mood had been ruined completely after the lecture. She then started thinking about her father and Yoel and began to feel anxious, wondering what they could be talking about.
