A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 426

Chapter 426

The construction of the Northern Suburb’s racecourse looked to be almost complete. All that is left was the importation of horses. After that, the racecourse would be open for business.

Amongst the three business partners, only Sage and Yoel came, Jace was nowhere to be seen.

The plan was for Yoel to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the racecourse. After all, over 80 percent of the racecourses in Riverside City are managed by the Fulton family. The Fulton family has all the required connections and sources to run a successful racecourse.

Everybody stood on the grass under the blazing sun, most were dressed down in casual clothes, sneakers, sunglasses, and their bodyguards were by their side holding up an umbrella to block off the sun.

Not long after, everybody was already in their gear and was ready to ride around the course. Leah had never been on a horse before, so she dared not to sit on one. As such, Hunter picked out a pony for her and helped her get on. Even after getting on a pony, Leah was still quite unfamiliar with horse riding and she seemed to always be on the verge of falling off the pony. Hunter couldn’t help but grin when he saw how tight Leah was holding onto the reins. “Don’t worry, you won’t fall down. Relax and enjoy the ride,” encouraged Hunter. Melody was the opposite of Leah; she looked confident and poised. She got on the pony she picked out earlier and started spurring on her pony, “Come on Ross, let’s go!”

Even if the ponies looked small, they were still quite adept at running and their stamina was not something to laugh at. The pony immediately started galloping around the course with that one prompt. Both Sage and Yoel had prior experience with horse riding and they naturally got on a horse. Ponies were pets to them and not meant for serious riding. After all, it would be a shame to come to a racecourse and not ride an actual horse. As such, they each picked out a horse and had them be led out of the stables by the employees. Yoel had his full gear on, clad in black and white, he looked impressive and smart. Yoel looked at Sage who wore red and white gear and looked equally good. He said to Sage, “Want to race?” “Sure,” replied Sage nonchalantly. Just as Yoel was about to laugh, a sudden cry for help rang throughout the course. “Help! Help!” Looking at the source of the cries, one could see Melody holding on to the reins for dear life as her pony galloped at full speed, tearing through the course. Since it was Melody’s first time on a pony, she had no idea how to control her steed and she looked like she was on the verge of falling off!
