A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 381

Chapter 381

“Dr. Nigel,” the girl greeted softly. She choked a little with sobs but greeted them with a weak smile.

She did not stand up immediately. Instead, she turned her gaze to Sage and asked, “This must be the doctor you mentioned. Is she Dr. S, the expert you’re talking about?”

“Yes. Dr. S will be performing the surgery for Asher,” Nigel said and introduced them.

The girl stood up at last and extended her hand.” Dr. S, I’ll leave my boyfriend in your care.”

She was neither humble nor arrogant, but there was hope and pleading in her eyes.

Sage shook her hand and said faintly, “Leave the surgery to me. Please remember that there will be a long rehabilitation process after a successful operation. That is the key to him standing again. I hope you can be mentally prepared.” “I understand. I’m mentally prepared for everything.” The girl said, “I believe he will stand up again. I will do my best to help him. I will accompany him no matter what.”

Sage was blinded by the light of determination in her eyes. For some reason, the girl reminded her of the shadow of her past.

Nigel told Sage about the patient’s story while on the way here. Asher Sherman had a girlfriend from a rich family who had loved him for many years.

Sage did not bother to pay attention to Yoel’s nonsense and completely ignored him. She treated Yoel and Jace like they were invisible and walked straight to the patient on the hospital bed. Then, she took out the medical record and asked professionally, “Asher Sherman?”

Asher answered with a soft hum.

“I will be the main surgeon for today’s surgery. Take it easy, don’t be nervous,” Sage said rather gently.

Asher nodded. “Thanks, doctor.” Jace seemed to be in a trance as he looked at Sage, who was wearing a white coat again. He remembered watching a figure busy saving him while he was lying on the operating table three years ago. Nothing seemed to have changed, but everything had changed. Unlike Jace, who was lost in a train of thoughts , Yoel’s head simply went blank. A voice kept ringing in his ears, ‘Doctor? Sage? Dr. S… At last, he gulped a little and almost roared at her, “Are you Dr. S?!”
