Chapter 357
Yoel laughed and said, “What an epic wedding, the opening was a romance drama, and it escalated into those absurd family television dramas. It finally ended with a comedy… Tsk tsk, what an interesting journey filled with plot twists.” He then looked at Sage and said, “What a talented cousin you have there.”
Sage could not agree more.
Yoel looked over at Jace and said, “The amount of chaos and drama in this wedding is almost as good as yours. It’s definitely worth coming.”
Jace glared coldly at him, wishing he could sew Yoel’s lips up.
Sage looked up and smiled. “Isn’t that right? Mister Jace’s wedding was so unforgettable, the memories were still fresh in my mind.”
Jace gulped as if his throat had been shot by a bullet, he looked down without saying anything.
Sage did not expect a response from him. She waved goodbye and left the scene along with Leah.
Inside the car, Leah seemed to have not calmed down from the chaos earlier, as she was still stunned.
Sage looked at her and asked, “What’s up? Still shocked from what happened?”
Leah looked at Sage and nodded.
“Sage, who was that woman just now? She said she had Julian’s baby. Is that true?”
OM
Sage responded calmly, “Her name is Queenie. She’s been with Julian for quite some time already. Yeva was aware of it as well. As for the baby, I don’t think she was lying. Since it could be easily verified from a simple DNA test. However, you could tell from Julian’s expression that it was real regardless of the DNA test.”
“Divorce?” Sage scoffed, “A woman who could bear her partner for cheating on her before marriage would be completely fine with him cheating after they’re married. She looked past it once, which meant it would keep happening. Even if Julian brought his mistress home as a second wife, Yeva would be with it as well. All she wanted was just the title of Missus Jefferson.
“He’s fighting for his year-end bonus,” Sage said scornfully. Seeing her bitter face, Leah did not ask any further.
As they were turning into the Rosa Garden, they could see from a distance that there was a man squatting by the entrance with a pipe in his mouth. Hunter and his people were standing by with an umbrella by the old man’s side; their faces were unwilling. The men looked relieved the moment they saw Sage’s car pulling up.
Leah got out of the car. She looked at Hunter and looked at the old man squatting on the floor dumbfoundedly as she said shakily, “Grand… Grandpa?”
Sage got out of the car as well. She looked at the old man with her lips pursed into a straight line.
The old man felt uneasy being stared down as he poured the ash off the pipe and put it back in his pocket.
The old man patted the ash off his hands and shirt. He looked up and extended his arms as he smiled mischievously, “My dearest girls, come here and give your Grandpa a hug.”
