“Jim has no interest in engaging in a conversation with you.”

With a straight face and a cold tone, she added, “Either you shut your mouth, or get down from the car.”

Jace finally stopped talking.

Shortly after, they arrived at the airport. There were two private jets on the spacious flying ground and Jace thought of boarding the same plane as Sage’s but Sage did not give him the chance to. Bringing Jim along with him, Sage quickly boarded the plane and closed the door behind them.

Staring at the door that was closed as he stood still, Jace was dumbfounded.

Zayne took a glimpse at Jace and felt sorry for him.

“Sir, there’s something that I don’t know if you tell me.”

With a hardened expression, Jace’replied, “Forget about it then.”

Jace thought that if Zayne hesitated whether he should tell, it was probably some bad news.

Scratching the tip of his nose, Zayne felt fortunate that he bit down his tongue and stopped himself from saying anything. He guessed that Jace would have ended up sending him to the North Pole instead.

As he wanted to tell Jace that sucking up to anyone would not get him anywhere.

The plane finally took off. Feeling like she left the rowdiness and chaotic duo behind her, Sage felt a sense of relief.

Adjusting her seat, Sage then took a rest.

It was rather cold on the plane and Sage was about to ask for a blanket when Jim, who returned from the washroom, came over to her seat with a blanket in his hands. “Sage, here, cover yourself with this. Don’t catch a cold.”

“Thank you,” Sage was about to get up from her seat when Jim said, “here, let me help you.”

Bending over, he covered Sage with the blanket. “Sage, do you want to take a nap?”

“I’m feeling sleepy but I don’t feel like sleeping.”

Jim chose a suspenseful movie and took out a handful of tidbits from his backpack. Most of them were specialties from Ark Town.

However, she did enjoy the movie because it was some time since she had the time to watch a movie and she was also able to reminisce about past times.

At the thought of Nigel and Luther desperately running away from her that one time when she was dressed up as a ghost, Sage burst into laughter.

Coincidentally, the female lead of the movie also started laughing sinisterly after being possessed. Jim slowly tightened his grip on the bag of chips when he suddenly heard a laugh next to him. Startled, the bag of chips popped and the chips were scattered all over the floor.

There was an awkward silence on the plane.

Perhaps Sage found Jim adorable and even after they got off the plane, the corners of her lips were still curled up.

As soon as they entered the airport, they saw Jace and the rest who waited by the entrance.

At the sight of Sage and Jim who walked side by side, with smiles on their faces, Jace felt a fresh swell of jealousy rose in him.

Sage, on the other hand, stopped smiling as soon as she noticed Jace.

Just when she walked past him, Jace said, “The exit is surrounded by Dean’s fans and reporters. You can’t just walk out like that.”

Looking at Sage’s outfit and make-up, Jace pressed his lips together and said, “You might need to bear with us.”
