Chapter 335 “Of course this is my wedding!”
Yeva made it clear that her wedding should only be about her. She said, “You have to come! How can you not come to my wedding? But, please, forget about Julian. He’s my man now.”
“Well, I never liked him anyway.” Sage was in the mood to banter with Yeva, “Do you or do you not want me to go? My presence might even ruin your day.”
Yeva became alerted, “What are you playing at?”
“Nothing,” Sage was feeling irritated having to stand under the hot sun and speak to her, “No one will bat an eye in your direction if I’m around. I don’t want to be the one stealing your limelight.”
Yeva was speechless. Her heart ached a little from what she said.
Indeed, Sage has always been the prettiest one among the three of them. She was always the center of attention wherever she went, and Yeva never stopped being jealous about it. She always lived under her shadows.
Yeva gulped and yelled, “Just dress uglily!”
Sage scoffed at such an absurd request.
“I’m afraid I won’t be doing that.
“Also, why would I dress ugly for you? Just because your face is larger and you’re uglier, or is it for the sake of your rich husband?”
Yeva was about to fight back, but Sage beat her to it, “Alright, I’m busy. I’ll go if I find the time. Bye.”
The roads were rocky and unstable, and it was uncomfortable staring at the screen for a long time. Sage rubbed her eyes from the strain. Knowing this, Jim added, “Miss, you might get dizzy working in the car. Please have some rest.”
Jim passed her an unopened water bottle, and he wanted to say something as she took a sip, but suddenly, the driver hit the brakes hard.
“Be careful!” Jim subconsciously held onto Sage tightly and his shoulder hit the seats hard. Sage’s forehead hit on his arms and half of the water spilled on Jim’s body.
He seemed unbothered by the water and his voice was filled with concern, “Are you okay, Miss Sage?”
She shook her head. When she looked up, she could not help but frown. Hunter was seated in the front seat, and his head bumped against the glass. When she was about to reprimand the driver’s skills, she realized their car had been surrounded by random people. These strangers were throwing eggs and vegetables on top of their car.
A bunch of people of all ages and gender held different banners and protested to return Dean’s role!
