A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Sage’s suite also had a top-quality audio system. She squinted as soon as she heard the voice, “Was that Sienna’s voice?”

Sienna’s dulcet voice was highly recognizable.

Luther replied calmly, “Keep watching.”

Trying to regain her composure, Sienna walked toward Jace in a hurry and whispered, “Jace, I’m a bit terrified. Is someone trying to pull a joke on us?”

“Don’t worry,” said Jace. “I’m here.”

Sienna nodded her head weakly. Taking the microphone from the emcee, she announced, “Today is the best day of my life. There is nothing better in life than the person you love reciprocating your love, and we are each other’s first loves. We have had several passersby in our lives, but we still returned to each other. Some things are just meant to be.”

Crushing the chips in her hand, Sage was annoyed that Sienna still thought of her as a mere passerby in Jace’s life.

“So Jace, I’ve prepared a surprise for you,” continued Sienna.

Flashing a playful wink at Jace, Sienna went on, “Please have a look at the screen.”

Following Sienna’s hand gesture, the guests fixed their eyes on the screen. As soon as the video started playing, chaos erupted in the hall.

Sienna, though, was utterly pleased with the response. With her back still facing the screen, she beamed and continued, “I’ve put m y heart and soul into preparing this clip. Through this video clip, you’ll be able to see our journey.”

Still seated on the sofa, Sage watched silently as the photos flashed, one by one, across the big screen. The photos were of nothing sensational, but the photos mainly showed different men hugging, kissing, and flirting with the same woman. The men were of different nationalities. Some were Germans, others Russians, and there were even Koreans. The pictures were taken at different places in different poses, but one thing that was similar across all pictures was the woman next to the men.

Sage had already seen all of these photos, and she was also aware of Sienna’s history while she was living abroad. Hence, she was not surprised at all.

However, it was different for Jace. The sweet and innocent woman that he knew had suddenly tumed into someone that he did not know. It was certainly devastating for Jace.

“This is the so-called good show that you mentioned?” asked Sage as she looked at Luther. “You don’t know Jace at all. He might be uptight, but he’s more open-minded than you think. Considering how much he loves Sienna, you can’t be sure that he’s going to be turned off by this.”

Luther shook his head and replied, “You don’t know men. No man would like a woman who spreads herself for every single man that approaches her. Plus, who in their right mind would be okay with being cheated on?” He then added, “This is just the beginning, the good part is coming right up.”
