Chapter 299 “I must thank Aunt Florence,” Sage nodded and added, “and Xavier too!” She then flashed a bright smile at Seth, “Thank you, Seth. You’re the best!” Her words immediately triggered Nigel and Luther. “Eh, what about us? Don’t you like our
presents?”
“Exactly!”
When it came to situations like that, Nigel and Luther were oddly in the same boat.
“Yes yes, of course, you guys are the best too.” Not wanting to offend any of them, Sage immediately corrected herself. Sage could only surrender as she received gifts from them after all. Seth chuckled and quickly tried to smooth things over. “The costume is tailored according to your body measurements. Go change into it. I’ll have Eleanor help you.” Eleanor was Seth’s assistant and she used to work in the fashion industry.
Shortly after, Sage walked out of the changing room.
The moment she showed up, everyone in the room had their eyes glued to her. Seth looked pleasantly surprised whereas Nigel and Luther were dazzled and stunned by her beauty.
Jim who walked out of the kitchen had his gaze fixed on Sage too.
The restaurant staff too were amazed. “It’s so gorgeous…”
The dress on Sage was not completely the replica of the one in Little Princess. It was altered into a mermaid-style princess dress. Florence Goth was from the fashion industry and she was also known as a promoter of the avant-garde.
“Sage, what happened to you? Are you cast to be in a movie?”
Sage rolled her eyes at Kane. “I wish. It’s a costume that Seth got for me, so? What do you think? Gorgeous, ain’t it?” .
She made a turn, swirling the hems of her dress. It was as if a mermaid danced and the scene was breathtaking
Kane, on the other hand, reached into his pockets and took out a crossbow, and put it into Sage’s hand.
With a solemn look on his face, he said, “I think that you’ll find my present useful. You’d be the first warrior princess that could protect herself. You need no prince in your life!” Holding the crossbow in her hand, the corners of her lips twitched. Sage thought to herself, ‘How in the world are they even my brothers? Mom, please take them away from me!’
