Chapter 293 Jace was labeled and identified as one of Sage’s brothers’ biggest enemies. Yoel thought that Jace stood no chance at all.
Speaking of which, Yoel wondered if Jace knew it was Sage’s birthday today. As his rival, Yoel had no plans of informing him.
Jace just got off a flight. Getting into a car, he headed straight to Bridge Lane.
He was once again back in Salem City. He had mixed feelings. It was as if every time he returned, there would be some changes to his relationship with Sage.
Just as her identity changed; the distance between the both of them increased little by little.
The first time he returned, he found out that his gentle and loving ex-wife from the countryside was the lady of the Norah family, the wealthiest family in Salem City.
He demanded answers from her at Skye Hotel to which she replied coldly, “Sir, do I know you?
Hearing the commotion outside, Jim walked out of the kitchen. At the sight of Sage, his eyes lit up and he beamed. “Sage, you’re here!” Sage looked especially beautiful today,
Her hair was dyed back to a black color and her long hair was braided, accessorized with a rhinestone tassel headband. She was dressed in a sleeveless long dress that wrapped around her body perfectly. She exuded elegance and sophistication. “Are the dishes ready?” Sage asked as she walked into the kitchen. Jim approached her suddenly and Sage felt something being placed in her hand. Slightly startled, Sage realized that it was a necklace with a smiley pendant. Taking a closer look, it was Jim’s smiling face. “It’s your birthday present. Happy birthday.” Sage felt warmth welling up in her heart. “You’re only a student, why did you spend so much money on getting a present?” “It’s not expensive.”
Jim shook his hands and replied shyly, “The necklace is made from pure gold. I’m not good with my hands, so I kind of damaged a few necklaces before managing to come up with this one. I hope you don’t mind.” Holding the necklace in her hand, Sage looked surprised. “You made this yourself?”
