Chapter 161
Jace received updates from Norah group’s meeting.
“Did Sage win?”
“Yes she did.” Zayne reenacted the scene at the Norah Group’s conference room. He added gleefully, “You should’ve seen her performance. Both Braxton and Norah were completely defeated and left speechless. Don’t think they’d ever recover from that.”
Jace smiled as he heard how Sage handled it. He knew how good Sage was with her words, as he experienced it first-hand.
“I think Mrs. Sage doesn’t need our help handling her uncles anymore. You don’t have to worry a thing about her,” said Zayne.
Sage looked down and sighed with mixed emotions. On one hand, he’s glad that Sage had a determined and stem personality. But o n the other, she won’t be needing him anymore as she’d grown more and more independent. He felt helpless.
After moments of silence, he ordered, “Get someone to follow Braxton and Zane: After today’s humiliation, they won’t be letting gos o easily. Make sure they are observed and keep Sage safe.”
“Yes boss, “Zayne responded, “Will do.”
Finn was demoted to the branch offices at Posie City recently because he said something to Jace that offended Sage.
“Miss Norah, I heard Braxton is back. Did they make things difficult for you?” Finn looked anxiously worried. Sage turned on her computer and didn’t respond.
Hunter replied, “Nothing happened. They’re no match for our CEO. After a few heated exchanges, they finally stopped making causing trouble.”
“Stop? You don’t know them at all. When did my two uncles ever stop causing troubles?” Sage said in a cold tone. Hunter stood up straight, and Finn looked up to her with a solemn facial expression, “Miss Norah! Please transfer my position back to the headquarters! You need me by your side at times like this,” Finn locked his eyes at Sage, begging for his position back.
