Chapter 112

They left the Japanese restaurant soon after they were done with dinner. Hunter walked Leah to her car while Luther waited for Sage at the entrance.

Sage’s phone had run out of battery, so she had taken Luther’s phone and was now playing some games on it.

Halfway through, Sage turned to Luther and said, “Is Kane in Salem City?”

“Hmm?” Luther looked like he wanted to evade the question. “That’s impossible.”

Sage pulled up the string of messages and showed them to Luther. One of them was a photo of the VIP lounge of a clubhouse. Sage was in the car, and she closed her eyes, trying to catch some rest. She had had a terribly long day.

Hunter was driving and Leah sat beside him. Both of them were conversing softly with one another. They were afraid of pulling Sage from her thoughts. Then, Sage turned to them and asked Leah about her day, and they could not stop talking

Happily, Leah took over the entire conversation with Hunter joining in Suddenly, a vehicle came crashing onto their road. It blocked their way home.

Hunter slammed on the breaks, and Sage jolted forward. She frowned

“Boss, something’s up” Hunter quickly assessed their surroundings. There were eight muscular men, and each one of them was holding a metal bat. They were all approaching the car.

Hunter sensed something was wrong and quickly locked the car and dialed MI K’s number for help Under the darkness, Sage’s eyebrows narrowed Something bad was about to happen
