A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married novel Chapter 8

Children's calmness was more or less pretended.

When Edmond saw such a big car crashing straight into him, he was shocked.

When the front of the car touched his leg, Edmond's lips turned pale.

It hurt.

The little girl stopped the toy car, so Edmond wasn't seriously injured.

Edmond looked up, seeing the little girl get out of the car.

She was like a real princess.

Her facial features were exquisite.

And her cheeks were a little chubby.

Especially her big eyes were filled with energy.

...

When Edmond was abroad, all his friends were foreigners.

Seeing such a delightful Chinese girl, he swallowed all his complaints.

The girl looked quite cute.

"I'm sorry."

The little girl apologized. Her pair of big eyes seemed to contain starlight.

She would not fail to win other's affection.

However, Edmond was a little arrogant. He snorted, "Don't drive without a driver's license. You were so careless. Now that you hit me, an apology is definitely not enough."

When Candy heard it, her eyes immediately turned red with anxiety, "This is just a toy car."

After a pause, she added, "We are both children. Children can't take the driver's license exam."

"Since you know that you're a child, you can't drive."

"But this is a toy car."

"You've injured me."

Candy paused. She blinked her eyes pitifully and took two steps forward. She reached out her hand and pulled Edmond's clothes gingerly. Then she said softly, "Does it hurt? I'll give you some sweets."

As Candy spoke, she took out a toffee sweet from her pocket and offered it to Edmond like a treasure. "The candy is especially delicious and sweet, just like my name. I'm Candy. What's your name?"

"I don't like sweets."

Edmond showed slight disgust. "Look at you. Your front teeth are all gone. You must have had a lot of candy. You are ugly."

"...."

Candy's eyes were wide open. It was probably the first time she had been called an ugly girl.

She felt wronged, and her big eyes seemed to be wet.

"You...."

She seemed to be on the verge of tears.

Girls were really troublesome.

Edmond thought to himself. Holding back his anger, he whispered, "Forget it. I don't feel any pain. Be careful."

Candy's eyes lit up in a flash.

She seemed to want to say something else, but not far away came waves of shouts, "... Miss Candy, where are you?"

Edmond also heard it. Probably because he noticed Candy's strange expression, he raised his small eyebrows and asked, "Are they looking for you?"

Candy nodded meekly. "Can you give me your contact information? I'm so sorry for bumping into you today. I'll share ice cream with you next time."

"Don't eat such sweet things as candy or ice creams, or you will become fat." Edmond taught her like an adult.

"Is that true? I will eat fewer sweet snacks. By the way, what's your name?"

'My name is Edmond....'

Edmond held his tongue. Suddenly he thought of something and changed the topic. "If we are destined to meet again, I will tell you."

Edmond felt that he was as cool as that handsome middle-aged uncle!

When Hendrix finally found his nephew, Edmond, he discovered that Edmond was standing beside a huge toy car.

Everly firmly refused and secretly escaped from the country.

It had indeed not been easy for Everly to raise her son in the past few years.

However, she persevered even though she looked so weak.

Everly braced herself up.

No matter what, she had to face it since she had returned.

They were her family.

Everly was afraid that Parrish would not like Edmond. But when she arrived at the door of the ward, laughter filled the room.

Parrish's voice was filled with energy and could be heard clearly through the door.

"Baby, you speak Mandarin very fluently. Who taught you that?"

Then Edmond's crisp voice sounded. "My mommy, of course."

"You should call her mom. You have grown up."

Edmond remained silent.

Soon, Everly heard another gentle female voice. She knew that it was her mother's.

"Parrish, Edmond is still a little kid. Don't be so strict."

Parrish snorted as proudly as ever.

Everly stood at the door and couldn't help but laugh.

She shouldn't have been worried that her family would reject Edmond.

Inside, Parrish asked, "Where's your mom?"

Hendrix said, "I guess she is coming."

As soon as he finished speaking, Everly pushed open the door and entered.

On the hospital bed, Parrish, who was like an old naughty boy, saw his daughter, and his eyes lit up. He then snorted and lay down.

Everly was rendered speechless.
