Jared lifted an eyebrow.
"Restore the Draconians?"
"Exactly!"
Roland straightened, his eyes burning with hope.
"For ten thousand years we have hidden here, clinging to life, yet the Sky Dragon Lineage never forgot its honor or the charge left by the ancestors."
"But the Demon Dragons grew too swiftly.
Our single branch cannot hold them back; we have been forced into Sky Dragon Valley and live each day on the brink of annihilation."
"Now the Dragon Sovereign Bloodline has emerged—our one hope of revival.
You are the clan's natural ruler.
If you call, every orthodox Draconian will answer.
Together we could crush the Demon Dragon Lineage and regain the dominance our forebears once wielded across the skies!"
He locked onto Jared, plea written across his gaze.
"Your Majesty, will you lead us to restore the Draconians?"
Jared sat without speaking for a long stretch.
When he finally looked up, his words held no disguise.
"Draconian Chief, the truth is simple.
I have little interest in revival or ancient glory.
I came to the Fourteenth Firmament for one purpose only—to reach the Luminous Sanctuary and find a way to repair the soul trapped inside my soul crystals."
Though Jared carried the Golden Dragon Bloodline—and people said his father was a Golden Dragon—he felt no burning mission to resurrect the Draconians.
After all, plenty of human cultivators walked around with blood from other races; such things were hardly rare.
A faint shadow crossed Roland's eyes, yet he forced nothing and merely nodded once.
Jared continued, "But accounts still need settling.
Those three Demon Dragons tried more than once to kill me, and The Janis Family repaid kindness with betrayal.
The Celestial Palace will answer for its part as well."
He drew a slow breath, the tone sharpening.
"Since the Demon Dragon Lineage insists on hunting me, I won't sit and wait.
Until I finish my own business and leave the Fourteenth Firmament, I can help you fight them.
Talk of full revival can wait until after that."
Roland froze, then sudden elation burst across his face.
He bowed again, voice shaking.
"Thank you, Your Majesty!
Even that much help is a blessing beyond measure for the Sky Dragon Lineage!"
Jared waved the gratitude aside.
"Don't celebrate too early.
I'm only High Immortal Realm Level Three, and the Demon Dragons field True Immortal Realm experts.
If we clash head-on, I might not match them."
Roland shook his head hard.
