After tearing into Mateo, the fans lost all interest in him. Like a pack of wolves, they turned on Jack next.
Jack was in for it now.
He had only come to see his girlfriend, and running into Luca had already been an unexpected shock. Without any assistants or bodyguards around, and stuck outside the barricade, he had nowhere to run.
In an instant, he was completely swarmed by a crowd of enthusiastic female fans.
"Soul! Is that really you? I'm so excited to see you!"
"I've dreamed about meeting you! You're even more handsome than I imagined!"*
"Soul, you know what? I listen to your songs every single day. When I found out you got blacklisted back then, I cried so much I couldn't eat. But now you're back, and you brought us "Youth". I love that song so much!"
"Please, can I get your autograph? If I could have your signature, I could die happy!"
Jack scrambled to sign autographs. What truly threw him off, though, was how the fans weren't just crowding around him—they were reaching out to touch him all over.
For the sake of his image, he had to keep smiling through it all.
It was the first time he'd ever felt so overwhelmingly adored. No wonder so many people dreamed of becoming a celebrity!
Nearby, Luca watched the scene with a mix of amusement and exasperation. He quickly signaled security to step in and disperse the crowd. After all, he was the one who had exposed Jack's identity. If anything happened to him, Luca would have a hard time explaining himself.
If he didn't intervene soon, those fans were going to devour Jack.
At Luca's signal, the security team rushed over to shield Jack. Just then, a group of people approached from behind, catching the attention of some fans—and Jack himself.
The ones approaching were also well-known celebrities.
