Jack couldn't stand it.
"What's the matter? Are you threatening us? My friend just said that you're a nobody and don't have what it takes to go against us. If you know your place, you should stay away."
Neil didn't hold back and cursed profusely. This was Alnewgo, his father's turf. He had long had enough of this arrogant bunch.
He would gladly take it outside and settle it with the bunch if they had the guts. After all, he was a brawler with substantial skill, and with Jack, their ace, in the mix, they had nothing to fear.
Neil wouldn't mind teaming up with Jack to teach this bunch of nobodies a hard lesson.
"Shut up!"
The handsome teammate was about to lay a hand on Jack, but Wilhelmina stopped him. "Nelson, don't stoop to their level. Let's see what they are made of."
Nelson might not have known who Jack was, but how could Wilhelmina be oblivious to that?
This was Alnewgo, and Quintis and Emily, who owned Sandalwood Group, had significant influence here—Wilhelmina knew that. It would be a disadvantage for her if she laid a hand on Jack.
From the looks of it, it was better to stand back and watch as the members of the Dream Squad taught these losers a hard lesson. By then, she would be utterly satisfied to see Jack lose all of his pride.
Nelson was still dissatisfied but had no choice but to resist his anger since Wilhelmina had instructed otherwise. He coldly warned, "Make sure I don't see any of your faces later."
"Oh, gosh! I'm so terrified. Help!" Neil shouted, acting as if he were scared, angering Nelson so terribly that his face turned pale.
"Don't get too cocky, Jack. I'd like to see how you plan to clean up this mess. If you get crushed out there, even if you don't feel embarrassed, I'll feel second-hand embarrassment for Mr. Lycan."
Wilhelmina crossed her arms, ready to watch Jack fall to his demise.
She had already witnessed the terrifying prowess of Cornelius and his team. Their skills were beyond what she could imagine. It was apparent they had been holding back earlier, letting her and her team survive longer than they should have.
