A Life Beyond Limits (Jack Holland) novel Chapter 885

Feena felt helpless when she realized that Jack was determined not to take the card. She wondered if he was rejecting her because he couldn't let go of his pride. However, she also knew that in comparison to the massive debt that Jack had accumulated, her five million dollars would barely make a dent in settling it.

She wanted to say more, but Jack beat her to the punch. "Since you're here, let's go out, Feena. You must be hungry. Let me take you out for a meal."

The truth was that Jack's head was filled with nothing but intimate scenes of him and Feena. Taking her out for a meal was just an excuse.

"A meal?"

Feena blinked her big and pretty eyes at him. It was already so late, so most places would be closed by now. She wondered where he would bring her for a meal.

Jack's voice was laced with panic as he looked at her confused expression. "Didn't you say that… we would… You're not taking your words back, are you?"

Realizing Jack's intentions, Feena flushed an even darker shade of crimson. Jack was truly a rascal. She had been so worried about him, but his mind was clearly filled with other things. Was he not worried at all about the state of his company?

Embarrassed, Feena rolled her eyes at him before saying, "You idiot! The truth is I… It's that time of the month for me!"

She looked at Jack apologetically after blurting out the words.

Meanwhile, Jack's heart felt a little hollow. Even though he knew that he should be grateful that Feena had abandoned her work to seek him out, he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed now that she was going back on her earlier promise.

It was torture for any man to be denied a chance at intimacy with a gorgeous woman who was right before his eyes.

Feena was exceptionally bright, so all it took was one look at Jack's expression for her to know that he was disappointed. She blushed before hugging Jack suddenly.
